(Minghui.org) The annual Italian Heritage Parade was held in San Francisco on October 11, 2026. The Tian Guo Marching Band participated, and the performance was well received.

The parade started at 12:30 p.m., and the Western US Tian Guo Marching Band was a highlight. Spectators waved at them and applauded their performance.
When the band passed the viewing stage, the moderator said, “Let us welcome the wonderful performances and original music brought by the Tian Guo Marching Band to celebrate the traditional Italian festival.”
The moderator said the band delivered a majestic performance, and its costumes were inspired by those worn by ancient Chinese Tang Dynasty warriors. The members practice Falun Dafa and follow the core principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. The band also performed a famous Italian song, O Sole Mio.

Paul Tonelli, the Parade Committee Chairman, said, “This band is great! We are happy that they participate in the parade every year.”
Paul said the band’s participation made it the best day in San Francisco. He added that the band members were energetic and that their performance and music are excellent.
People Appreciate Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance

Catherine McGee praised practitioners and said, “Their costumes are colorful. The band’s rhythm and pace are very good. We love it.”
She also commended Falun Dafa’s core principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. She said these are “The best and most excellent principles, and we all love them very much.” She called on everyone to “keep it up and keep spreading the good news.”
She said that the current society needs to have Falun Dafa’s principles, and “more positive forces like this are absolutely needed.”

Rose, the former San Francisco Chinatown beauty pageant winner, saw the Tian Guo Marching Band and invited other Asian beauty pageant participants to take photos with the members of the band. She said that she was very happy to see the Chinese cultural team participating in the Italian traditional festival parade, and she was proud to see the band performing here.
She said, “I am Chinese. They are also Chinese. I am happy. Seeing their performance, I think they are outstanding.”
She knew they were Falun Dafa practitioners, and said, “Its great, very good. I think their philosophy is very good. I’m very familiar with Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.”

When talking about the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, Jessica said that this is a “very brave message that is worth sharing with everyone.”
Jessica further added that Falun Dafa’s principles are extremely important in our current society. “Everyone can be inspired and strive to become a more sincere, kind, and tolerant person.”

Shabina Jay, a Fijian American, said she liked the band and praised the practitioners’ group.
She spoke highly of Falun Dafa’s core values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. She strongly agreed with them and wished to implement them in her life. She also said it is important to listen to one’s mind and body and have compassion, which she feels is not valued or applied in today's society.
After she was told how Falun Dafa is persecuted in China, Shabina said the situation was sad, and it should not happen.

Joey Delgadillo, a photographer, said practitioners were outstanding. He said he did not know much about Falun Dafa but said he often saw practitioners doing the exercises near the Ferry Building.
He also said Falun Dafa’s principles are excellent: “In today’s society, these principles are very important.”
