(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the 33rd annual Daidogei World Cup in Shizuoka, Japan, which was held October 31 to November 3, 2026.

The practitioners told visitors about Falun Dafa and the ongoing persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Many people who spoke with them were interested in learning more and commended the practitioners’ efforts.

The Daidogei World Cup is one of Japan’s signature street performance festivals. Located at Sumpu Castle Park in the heart of Shizuoka, it draws numerous visitors each year. According to official figures, the festival attracts over a million attendees annually. This year, it featured 121 performers and 78 groups from 13 countries and regions.

People Acknowledge Practitioners’ Efforts in Raising Awareness

Ms. Atsumi (left) from Shizuoka (Minghui.org)

Ms. Atsumi from Shizuoka was appalled to learn about the persecution, which she described as “Nazi-like.” She said she supported practitioners’ dedication to exposing the persecution. “I hope you will definitely continue to speak out like this,” she said.

Ms. Yamada (Minghui.org)

Ms. Yamada was also appalled to learn of the crime of forced organ harvesting. She said this kind of serious human rights issue is not often discussed in the Japanese community and should be known by more people.

She encouraged practitioners, “I hope you all keep up the good work and continue with these activities.” She said that if she had the opportunity, she would be willing to provide support, such as by expressing her views or making a donation.

Mr. Makita believed that in today’s world where information dissemination is so well-developed, spreading the truth face-to-face is still very important. He agreed with practitioners’ persistence in raising awareness and said, “This is also what Japan needs.”

Mr. Furukawa (Minghui.org)

Mr. Furukawa has watched Shen Yun and has been paying attention to information related to Falun Dafa. He said he had learned about Falun Dafa and the human rights situation in China through books, websites, YouTube, and other channels. He praised practitioners’ efforts to spread the truth to society and believed that this information could help people learn about a side of Chinese society most people don’t know.

“A Serious Human Rights Violation”

Mr. Fujisawa (Minghui.org)

Mr. Fujisawa was born and raised in Yokohama’s Chinatown and has many Chinese friends. He works in welfare and human rights advocacy. He said he learned about the CCP’s persecution and forced organ harvesting when he talked to practitioners at the festival as well as online programs.

Mr. Fujisawa said, “This is a serious human rights violation if people who did not do anything bad are subjected to arrest and forced organ harvesting.” He said that Japanese society still has a limited understanding of this issue, so it is necessary to continue to spread relevant information to the public. He said he hopes that through his website and videos, more Japanese people can learn about the persecution suffered by practitioners. He also said he hopes the persecution ends soon.

Mr. Ohashi (Minghui.org)

Mr. Ohashi from Japan’s Liberal Democratic Party said he heard that China had organ trafficking issues and he knew this was a serious human rights issue, but did not know that forced organ harvesting was used as a way to persecute certain religious groups. After he talked with practitioners he said China’s human rights situation should be monitored by the international community. He said he hopes China develops in a more democratic and open direction.

During the event, many people read the display boards, took materials, and spoke with practitioners. Mr. Matsuo, Mr. Suzuki, and Mr. Kitagawa also spoke with practitioners to learn about the persecution, and they expressed concern. Some people not only encouraged practitioners to continue to speak out, they also said they would tell others about the persecution.
