(Minghui.org) As the Chinese New Year approaches, Falun Dafa practitioners from four provincial capitals in South Africa expressed their gratitude to Master. They talked about how they began practicing Falun Dafa and how Dafa has transformed them.
“Falun Dafa Totally Changed Me”
Andrie from Joburg started practicing in Falun Dafa in November 2024, and he described his positive changes. “I was an anxious person who liked to compare myself with others. After I began practicing Falun Dafa, my mentality changed. I’m now able to let go of things unconditionally, and I’ve also learned to be tolerant.” He added, “When I face difficulties, adversity, challenges, tribulations, or tests, I do not complain—instead I reflect on myself. I’m able to look within.”

Andrie said, “Sometimes, when storms come into my life and my personal interest is being threatened, I become short-sighted and ignore the big picture. I am grateful to Dafa for giving me guidance, teaching me to let go and to let nature take its course. When I took a step back, I suddenly understood that the matters and things that I cherished so much and were so attached to actually dis not have that much value, depth, or substance. Therefore, letting go brings the feeling of freedom. Having no desires allows me to display my true nature.”
As a new practitioner, Andrie really cherishes this cultivation opportunity: “Thank you, Master Li Hongzhi, for your compassion. I thank you for bringing us this great Fa, giving us the opportunity to continue our diligent cultivation, doing well the three things, and doing well on our path of cultivation. I wish Master Li Hongzhi a happy Chinese New Year!”
People from African Countries Join an Online Class
Liu Jie, a veteran practitioner from Durban, talked about how he conducted classes online with fellow practitioners to introduce Falun Dafa and teach the exercises to people in Africa.
Two years ago, Liu Jie started to participate in the Falun Dafa online classes. Since then, he has met many new practitioners from different African countries. He said, “Although they could not join the classes on time due to different reasons, I can feel their desire to learn the practice. As a host for the online classes, I try my best to provide these new practitioners with a chance to join in and embark on their cultivation paths.”
From conducting the classes, Liu Jie also learned that, “Many people with affinity in Africa make use of different channels to come into contact with Falun Dafa, and I hope they have a chance to truly practice in the future.”

New Practitioner’s Joy After Obtaining the Fa
New practitioner Tshepangdonald from Pretoria shared his joy after obtaining the Fa.
Tshepangdonald does the fifth Falun Dafa exercise.
“The first time I did the Falun Dafa exercises, I saw a miraculous box surrounding me and countless rainbows appeared from my body. I also saw Master and felt his presence. Honestly, no words can describe the purity and sacredness that I felt during that time.”
He said, “I wish Master a happy Chinese New Year and I hope more people can come and cultivate in the future!”
Making Use of Opportunities to Clarify the Truth at Work
Kevin from Cape Town explained how he made use of all kinds of opportunities to clarify the truth about Dafa, along with other practitioners.
The period around Chinese New Year is peak tourist season, and there is a continuous flow of tourists from different countries. By chance, an elderly couple from Xiamen, China, took a cab to the wrong ship boarding platform and met Kevin. He helped them get to the correct passenger terminal platform, and he clarified the truth to them on the way. He also successfully persuaded them to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations.
The Chinese merchant ship crew have a hard time finding transport after they dock. Practitioners often offer them transport to and fro when they see them, and they tell them about the persecution of Falun Dafa in China, the goodness of cultivation, and the importance of quitting the CCP. They also give them information about Falun Dafa and the persecution.
A Russian merchant ship recently entered the port to refuel. Practitioners went to the side of the ship to introduce Dafa and clarify the truth to the crew and the refueling staff.
A worker named Jedy invited the practitioners into a small hut due to the strong winds and said, “Thank you all for introducing Falun Dafa to me. As our busy work schedule requires us to look for special ways to help us regain our physical and mental strength, we really need this practice!” He also said, “Thank you, Falun Dafa’s Master! Falun Dafa is good!”
