(Minghui.org) Mount Carmel College (MCC) in Bangalore welcomed their iconic annual Cul-Ah! Festival on February 13 and 14, 2026. Often nicknamed the “Queen of Fests,” it brought the campus alive with vibrant competitions such as “Wildfire Marketing” and “House of Secrets,” along with the presence of celebrity guest Ramesh Aravind.

Continuing a long-standing tradition, Falun Dafa practitioners set up an information booth introducing the spiritual practice of Falun Dafa to students and faculty attending the fest. This year, special emphasis was placed on a petition started by Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH), which urges the G7+7 nations to take action against China’s forced organ harvesting and torture of Falun Dafa practitioners. The campus initiative aimed to raise awareness of this crime among students, encourage informed civic engagement, and foster thoughtful dialogue during college events.

The booth attracted a wide cross-section of visitors, including department professors, administrators, faculty, police personnel, and students from MCC as well as other Bangalorean institutions. Many expressed encouragement for the practitioners’ efforts to raise awareness.

An Effort to Inspire Ethical Reflection

Dr. Vipin is the representative from DAFOH who attended the event. He expressed that the petition initiative was not a protest or political action but an educational effort grounded in ethical reflection and compassion. Many students appeared visibly moved by the information presented. A few expressed interest in interning with the DAFOH team, and a journalism professor inquired whether her students could write about the issue.

Sadaf Khan, a student, commented, “It’s shocking that a government could do this, kill people and harvest their organs, and who knows what could happen next.”

Richelle and Tejaswini reflected that it was “scary” to learn such practices may be occurring while remaining largely unknown to the public, and said the information offered insight into how China operates.

Ms. Riddhi said she was stunned at the forced organ harvesting.

“It’s sad and heartbreaking to know that people profit from this,” Ms. Prabritha said. “It’s a bad [thing to do], and whatever we can do as young people to help, we should.”

“You Are Doing God’s Work.”

Other students and faculty also encouraged the practitioners in their efforts and were grateful that efforts were being made to uncover a human rights atrocity in China.

Shraddha Mishra commented, “It’s great that you are informing people about this. I am surprised more people are not aware. You are doing God’s work.”

Arvi and Shreya noted, “It’s surprising more people don’t know about this. It’s good that you are taking initiative to raise awareness.” They also expressed interest in learning more about the Falun Dafa practice.

Hritoja Bhattachara encourages practitioners.

Hritoja Bhattachara and friends admitted they were unaware of the issue, saying it sounded “traumatizing” and asking why it has not received more mainstream media coverage. They encouraged the team to continue their efforts.
