1. [Changle County, Shandong Province] Mr. Meng Xianqiang Sentenced to Prison

6. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Yingdong Harassed
7. [Luanzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Xiuying Harassed
1. [Changle County, Shandong Province] Mr. Meng Xianqiang Sentenced to Prison
Mr. Meng Xianqiang was sentenced to four years in prison. He was admitted to Shandong Province Prison on February 6, 2026.
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Zhou Haiyan and her non-practitioner husband were arrested by a group of police officers and community management office personnel on February 28, 2026. Their home was ransacked. Her husband was released in the evening and Ms. Zhou remains detained.
Around the same time, Mr. Xu, in his 80s, was arrested as well. The next day, March 1, Mr. Zhu Chengqian was arrested too.
3. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Chen Yanwei Experiences High Blood Pressure in Detention Center
Ms. Chen Yanwei, 74, was arrested on October 29, 2025. She has been held at the Mudanjiang City Detention Center since. Her family received a call from the detention center around early March 2026, telling them that she was experiencing elevated blood pressure. The guards ordered her family to deliver medicine to her. The family condemned the detention center for failing to provide Ms. Chen with medical attention and demanded her release.
The police submitted Ms. Chen’s case to the Aimin District Procuratorate, which approved her arrest and indicted her. The Aimin District Court scheduled a hearing of her case for February 4, 2026, but postponed it to a later date for unknown reasons.
4. [Fujin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Tian Haitao Deprived of 23 Years of Salary and Retirement Benefits
Mr. Tian Haitao, a former employee of Agricultural Bank of China in Fujin City, has been deprived of salary payments for 23 years. The authorities changed his household registration record to show that he was unemployed. When Mr. Tian reached the retirement age in May 2023, he was unable to complete the paperwork for retirement application, and his salary bank account was cleared to zero. His passport was also withheld in 2024.
5. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Shuxia Detained
Ms. Li Shuxia was arrested on February 5, 2026. The police confiscated Falun Gong books and informational materials at her home. She was released later that day after failing the physical exam.
The police took Ms. Li to Baoding City for another medical exam on February 10. She was then admitted to the Laishui County Detention Center for five days and fined 2,000 yuan. The authorities extended her detention by two more days and released her on February 16, the Chinese New Year’s Eve.
6. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Yingdong Harassed
Mr. Wang Yingdong was harassed at home on February 23, 2026, by officers from Dongting Police Station. They returned to harass him again on February 28. Mr. Wang was not at home, so the police instructed the village accountant to go to his home to take pictures of him when he returned.
7. [Luanzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Xiuying Harassed
Ms. Zhao Xiuying, 78, was harassed at home on February 27, 2026, by two individuals from the Luannan County Procuratorate. They walked around and videotaped her rooms. They ordered her and her daughter to sign her case documents. Both refused to comply. Ms. Zhao experienced tremendous mental distress as a result of the harassment.
