(Minghui.org) Practitioners in Winnipeg, Canada, participated in two major local community events in the winter of 2026: the Winnipeg Health and Wellness Expo and the Winnipeg Women’s Show.
They demonstrated the exercises, explained the benefits of Falun Dafa, and told people how the Chinese Communist Party persecutes this traditional mind-body cultivation practice. Many people expressed their support and showed keen interest in learning the Falun Dafa exercises.
Winnipeg Health and Wellness Expo
The Winnipeg Health & Wellness Expo was held at the RBC Convention Centre in Winnipeg from February 13-14, 2026. The exhibition brought together organizations and brands from a wide range of fields, including medical care, nutrition and wellness, fitness and sports, and lifestyle, making it an influential health-focused event in the local community.
There was a steady stream of visitors at the Falun Dafa booth throughout the event. Practitioners told people about the merits of Falun Dafa, demonstrated the five exercises, and distributed flyers.
Compared to previous years, an increasing number of people have already heard of Falun Dafa and were interested in the exercises. Many visitors left their contact information and said they hoped to learn the exercises at a local practice site. Quite a few people learned the exercises during the event.

Casey and her mother attended the exhibition. Her mother said Casey was very interested in learning the exercises. She learned all five exercises at the practitioners’ booth. Another young woman also learned the third exercise and said she could feel energy flowing through her body when she did them and found the sensation quite comforting.

Winnipeg Women’s Show
This was the first time practitioners participated in the Winnipeg Women’s Show, which was held March 7-8. The exhibition centered on the themes of women’s health, family life, fashion and beauty, and personal growth. The exhibition is one of the most popular annual events in the local community.
Maria approached the booth and said she’d hung a little lotus flower in her car five years ago, because she felt it symbolizes peace and represents practitioners’ good wishes.
A woman spoke with a practitioner the first day of the show. She returned the following day and said she wished to learn more about the practice. She expressed an interest in joining the outdoor group exercises. The woman also said she appreciated the way practitioners introduced Falun Dafa, saying that they gave very clear explanations.
Another woman wrote an email to local practitioners shortly after she attended the exhibition and said she wanted to practice Falun Dafa.
Many people paused and quietly watched practitioners peacefully meditating despite the crowds and noise at the show. People were amazed that practitioners could sit so serenely and enter such a state of deep stillness.
When they were asked how they could maintain a calm state of mind in a chaotic environment, practitioners explained that this was because they cultivate themselves by following the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. Through continuous self-cultivation, striving to let go of selfishness, and thinking of others before themselves, they become better people. They told people that true beauty originates from within, and that there is a connection between the mind and the body; when one’s heart is compassionate and peaceful, the body also benefits—becoming healthier and serene. Many visitors said this deeply resonated with them and some said they wished to learn more about Falun Dafa.
A young man said he was aware of the Chinese Communist Party’s crime of organ harvesting from living Falun Dafa practitioners and other prisoners of conscience. He signed a petition calling for a stop to this practice, hoping his signature would help put an end to the CCP’s persecution.
Some visitors brought friends to the booth to sign the petition against the forced organ harvesting. Meg, who had previously learned about the persecution, said she was deeply moved by the plight of practitioners in China. She brought her friend to the Falun Dafa booth and they both signed the petition.
