(Minghui.org) For more than two decades, Falun Dafa practitioners in the Toronto area have continued to hold peaceful protests and raise awareness of the persecution in China outside the Chinese consulate in Toronto. Regardless of the bitter winter or hot summer, they are there every day to explain to Chinese and Westerners alike what Falun Dafa is all about. Since the beginning of this year, there has been a significant increase in the number of people who’ve chosen to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) after talking to practitioners.
According to practitioners who regularly talk to people at the consulate, when people learn of the extent of the CCP’s crimes, they realize how evil the regime is. After chatting with practitioners and reading the information offered by practitioners, most Chinese citizens decide to quit the Party.
A couple waiting in line with their two children spoke to practitioners for a long time and then withdrew from the CCP. When they came out of the consulate, the man brought a few bottles of water and offered them to practitioners as a gesture of appreciation.

Woman Inspires Others to Quit the CCP
Every day at 3 p.m, people begin lining up outside the Chinese consulate to take care of a variety of personal business. Practitioners approach them and offer to help them quit the CCP. On one occasion, a woman told a practitioner, “I already know the truth, and I’ve renounced my membership in the CCP. Thank you! You’ve been doing this for years. It’s not easy. You are doing this entirely for others, and you persist even in such cold weather. You’ve worked hard!”
Several young men who had been reluctant to listen changed their attitude after they heard what the woman said. They paid attention as practitioners talked about the CCP’s crimes, and asked a few questions. After understanding the purpose of quitting the CCP, the men agreed to withdraw. As they left after taking care of their business at the consulate, they asked practitioners for more information about Falun Dafa.
One morning, a middle-aged woman walked up to a practitioner and said, “I saw a video on Youtube about the persecution. It’s too brutal! Please help me quit the Party using my real name.”
Her gesture encouraged others waiting in line, and many agreed to quit the CCP. One woman gave practitioners her name and a list of her family members’ names, and asked them to help her family quit the Party. She said her family members had agreed in advance to withdraw from the CCP.
Moved by Practitioners’ Sincerity
Ms. Liu, nearly 80, always greets people with a smile. Even when some people refuse to listen, she continues smiling and talking about the importance of quitting the CCP. Many who initially refuse to listen eventually agree to quit the Party.
A young man in his 30s accompanied a family member to the Chinese consulate and waited on the other side of the road. As Ms. Liu walked towards him, he shook his head and said, “I don’t want to hear what you have to say.”
Ms Liu smiled and said, “I haven’t said anything yet; you don’t know what I am going to say.”
He asked, “What are you going to say?”
Ms. Liu pointed to the practitioners who were talking to other people and told him, “These Falun Dafa practitioners are good people who live by Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. They only want Chinese people to avoid disaster, so they’re out here on such a cold day to tell people about the persecution because they hope everyone can stay safe.”
The young man’ attitude changed, “Oh, you live by Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. That’s excellent!” As he took the flyer from Ms. Liu, she began explaining about the persecution and the importance of quitting the CCP. They spoke for a long time and the man said that this was the first time he’d learned the truth about Falun Dafa. Just then, his family member stepped out of the consulate. The young man pointed at the flyer in his hand and told Ms. Liu, “Thank you for explaining things to me. I will read this.”
Ms. Liu asked a man in his 50s who was waiting outside if he’d heard about quitting the CCP. The man replied in a hostile tone, “I haven’t joined anything.” Ms. Liu said, “That’s good. You didn’t join the CCP. If you run into trouble, please remember to say, ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’ You will then avoid disaster. When heaven decides to eliminate the CCP, it will have nothing to do with you.”
The man said in a friendly tone, “Is that so? Then I must thank you!” He listened attentively as Ms. Liu explained the importance of quitting the CCP. Then, he quickly looked around and said in a low voice: “I only joined the Communist Youth League and the Young Pioneers. My last name is [name].”
Ms. Liu said, “I’ll help you quit the CCP.” He smiled, “That’s great, thank you!”
Young Man Wants to Learn Falun Dafa
Mr. Zhao, in his 20s and from Shanxi Province, China, is studying at Waterloo University. He came to the Chinese consulate to take care of some matters. When practitioners explained what Falun Dafa is, he said he’d never seen anything about it in China.
Zhao left the queue and spoke to a practitioner for over an hour. “Is Falun Dafa good?” he asked. After he heard why it’s important to quit the CCP, Mr. Zhao said, “I understand now. I want to quit the CCP.”
When he heard of the benefits of practicing Falun Dafa, Zhao said, “I want to practice Falun Dafa. How do I start?” The practitioner suggested he go to the main Falun Dafa website, where all Dafa teachings can be accessed for free. He said, “My uncle who lives in Tianjin has been suffering from poor health, I want him to learn Falun Dafa. Where can he get the book [Zhuan Falun]?”
After the practitioner told him how to break through the CCP’s internet censorship, Mr. Zhao exclaimed, “Thank you! I will tell my family in China.”
Treating Everyone With Kindness
When Ms. Zhang offered a woman in the queue a flyer, the woman said, “I’m not interested.” Ms. Zhang said, “I only want you to be happy and safe.”
The woman said, “I didn’t join the Party, so I don’t need to withdraw. The CCP is bad. I was terribly persecuted and I was imprisoned in China for several years.” She became emotional and told the practitioner her story.
When the woman left the consulate after finishing her business, she continued to tell Ms. Zhang how she was persecuted in China. Ms. Zhang sympathized with her and told her the benefits of quitting the CCP. In the end, the woman agreed to withdraw using an alias. Ms. Zhang also told her how to recite, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” The woman wiped away her tears and thanked Ms. Zhang.
Christian Agrees to Quit the CCP
A man in his 40s from Shanghai listened as Ms. Zhang explained why practitioners continue to protest the persecution and ask people to quit the CCP. “You should quit the CCP in order to be safe,” she said. “You vowed to give your life to Communism when you joined the Party and this is not good for you.”
The man replied, “I’m a Christian. Because I have a religious belief, I don’t need to quit. I think you practitioners are being used and I want to discuss the topic of faith with you.”
Ms. Zhang said, “No problem. We should respect each other. You are from Shanghai. People in Shanghai are smart—many Shanghai residents know how to bypass the CCP’s internet censorship, so you probably know the CCP fabricated lies to vilify Falun Dafa.”
When she observed that he nodded in agreement, she continued, “I am a volunteer. I’m not here to incite people to do anything. I only want you to be safe. I was an engineer in China and I had a good job, but I was sent to a labor camp and sentenced to prison for refusing to give up my faith. In the end, I was fired.”
He said, “I don’t understand your choice. I admire you but I still think you’re pitiful.”
Ms. Zhang said, “We simply want to practice our belief, yet we are persecuted. Many Falun Dafa practitioners are missing, and we believe they were killed and their organs were taken. It is the power of belief, the power of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance that gives us the strength to continue protesting at the consulate.”
Ms. Zhang continued, “I come here to talk to people like you, people who have a conscience. I hope you can distinguish between good and evil, and make a good choice. You are a Christian; don’t you realize these lies are fabricated by the CCP to vilify Falun Dafa? Aren’t you moved when you hear that practitioners’ organs are removed and sold? We should differentiate between good and evil in our hearts. That’s all I want. I can suggest a good alias and help you withdraw your membership in the CCP. The CCP is atheist and I hope you distance yourself from it.”
The man offered, “Please use this pseudonym: Joy.” Ms. Zhang said, “That’s a great name! You quit the CCP joyously.” He said with a smile, “That’s great! Thank you!”
