(Minghui.org) A nearby town holds a big market day every month, where people from different areas come to buy and sell goods. It has been an important place for me to tell people the facts about Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong).
On market days, I ride my electric bike, carrying booklets and materials with Falun Dafa information, the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, small gourd pendants, amulets, desk calendars, and mini audio players. Over the years, I have come to deeply understand that people have been waiting to be saved by Dafa.
I’m no Longer Hassled by Market Staff
When I started attending market days, a yellow-vested staff person would follow me around, even when I was on my bike. One day, I said to him, “Don’t follow the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) ways and harm Falun Gong practitioners. Don’t do bad things! Do you realize how many people have suffered retribution because of their participation in the persecution?”
The staff member changed his attitude after I gave him a Falun Dafa desk calendar. I later advised him, “You must withdraw from the CCP. By doing so, you’ll be protected by the divine.” He then agreed to quit.
Another market staff member initially believed the CCP’s lies about Falun Dafa. He tried to snatch my bag several times whenever he saw me at the market. I held on tightly, so he didn’t manage to take it. I was not afraid of him. But when I tried to tell him the truth of Falun Dafa, he refused to listen.
One day, I arrived at the market and parked my electric bike. Before I could even remove the key, a staff member ran over, reached in, and locked the bike with the key. He then removed the key and dropped it into his pocket. I demanded that he return my key but he refused. Someone nearby tried to speak up for me, “Give the key back to this elderly woman; she’s already had a hard life.” But he wouldn’t listen.
“Brother, we are predestined to meet up today!” I exclaimed. “Please give my key back. You will be rewarded in life for doing good deeds.”
He ignored me and sat down on the steps of the market. I stood there and stared at him, then started to send righteous thoughts to eliminate the bad elements that were manipulating him.
A little while later, three township government officials happened to come over. After understanding the situation, they also spoke up for me, “Please return the key to the woman!”
This staff member was surprised, “Why are people from the township government also speaking up for you?” But he still sat there and did not give me the key.
I stood there watching him and continued to send forth righteous thoughts.
A short time later, the person who had spoken up for me said, “Hey, give the key back to her! She’s been waiting long enough!”
He thought for a moment, then reluctantly took out the key and handed it back to me. I thanked him and shook his hand, then went inside the market to hand out information.
After the incident, I saw him at the market many times. I patiently clarified the facts about Falun Dafa to him, and even asked if he wanted an amulet. He gradually stopped being hostile toward me. Once someone asked him, “This woman is promoting Falun Gong. Why don’t you stop her?” He answered, “Why should I stop her? She’s not doing anything bad.”
I was so happy to see that he was able to make the right choice!
Market Tax Officials Learn the Truth
There were two tax collectors at the market, one male and one female. At the beginning, the young man refused to accept my Dafa booklets.
As I was handing out amulets one day, he walked over to me, “Good day Ma’am, these amulets are beautiful! May I have one?” I gave him one and also invited him to withdraw from the CCP. He told me his name and said he would indeed like to withdraw from the CCP. In the following years, he asked for a Dafa calendar every year. I recently gave him a Falun Dafa audio player, which made him very happy.
A young lady, who was also a tax collector, asked for an audio player as well. I told her, “In order to keep yourself safe, you should consider withdrawing from the CCP.”
“I understand. Please help me to withdraw,” she replied. She once spotted a police officer walking toward me and ran over, “Please, be careful, a policeman is here!” I thanked her and was grateful that she had been saved.
Chief of Police Gives Me a Thumbs Up
I always kept one clear thought when telling people about Falun Dafa and handing out information, “I’m a Dafa practitioner. I am not under the jurisdiction of anyone except Master Li Hongzhi! Whatever actions the police may take do not concern me; they cannot touch me!”
Since I went to market days often, many local police officers knew me. When I saw them, I usually went to the other end of the market to avoid any unnecessary hassles.
When I was handing out Dafa materials at the market last spring, I noticed that the chief of police was there. I then found myself face to face with him. I wasn’t afraid, and when he realized it was me, he asked, “How old are you Ma’am?”
“Seventy-six!” He gave me a thumbs up, “You’re truly an amazing woman!”
A little while later, he saw me again, and said, “You haven’t left yet?” I replied, “I’ll be leaving soon.” He said, “At your age, make sure you ride your bike carefully!”
I watched him walk away, and thought that regardless of their identities, people are all waiting to be saved by Dafa! The police chief’s actions showed that he had a positive attitude toward Dafa.
Merchant Helps Keep Track of CCP Withdrawals
Every time I arrived at the market gate, many people who already understood that Falun Dafa was good greeted me warmly. There was a seafood seller who didn’t know my name, and he would call out “Falun Dafa is good!” every time he saw me. I responded with, “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!”
There was a glass merchant whom I helped to quit the CCP a long time ago. He often helped me hand out Dafa materials at the market. He really liked certain materials and asked me to give him more. I always reminded him, “When you finish reading, please give them to other people and advise them to quit the CCP. You are sure to receive great blessings for doing such a good deed!”
This merchant also owned a glass shop in a nearby city. He often came into contact with people of high status in the city and gave them booklets, calendars, and audio players with Falun Dafa information. He then advised them to quit the CCP to ensure their safety. Many people indeed chose to quit.
Over the years, he often gave me a list of the names of people who quit the CCP with his encouragement. Whenever I received a new list from him, I was overcome with emotion. Dafa is amazing! The truth spread from person to person and provided opportunities for more people to be saved!
I was very impressed with this merchant. His good deeds brought him great fortune. His business was also the most prosperous in the entire market.
I always carried dozens of booklets with me, including the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and the Ultimate Goal of Communism. People would scramble to get them. Last year, I handed out nearly 1,000 calendars at the market.
I once stayed at home for several days while experiencing sickness karma elimination. When I went to the market again, many people asked me, “Why are you coming so late this year? Where have you been?” I could see that people were eagerly waiting to be saved by Dafa!
After years of sharing information about Falun Gong at the market, about 80 percent of the merchants now understand that Dafa is good.
Only by continuing to help Master Li save more people can I fulfill my mission. And only by cultivating diligently can I repay the salvation he’s offered me!
