(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Chongqing] Mr. Liu Kaifang Arrested
2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Li Yuyan Detained
3. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Yuqiu Detained
4. [Shizuishan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomic Region] Four Practitioners Harassed
5. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Yu Chunsheng Detained
6. [Laiyuan County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Xiaofen Detained
1. [Chongqing] Mr. Liu Kaifang Arrested
Mr. Liu Kaifang was arrested at his rental property on March 3, 2026. The police ransacked the place and beat Mr. Liu in front of a crowd.
2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Li Yuyan Detained
Three practitioners reading the Falun Gong book together were arrested in Li Yuyan’s home on April 1, 2026. The Chengdonghu Police Station officers didn’t show their IDs or an arrest warrant. They handcuffed the practitioners, ransacked Li’s home, and confiscated all the Falun Gong books. The three practitioners were taken to the Chengdonghu Police Station. Li’s two guests were released after midnight. Li remains detained.
3. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Yuqiu Detained
Ms. Liu Yuqiu was arrested by Zhanqian Police Station officers in March 2026 for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was detained for 10 days and released on April 2, 2026.
4. [Shizuishan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomic Region] Four Practitioners Harassed
Mr. Du Guangming, his wife Ms. Wu, Ms. Yang Tianyun, and Mr. Yang Xiutian were harassed by police officers and local community members during the Chinese Communist Party’s plenary sessions of the National People’s Congress and the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
Mr. Yang was harassed at his rental property in Yinchuan City on March 26, 2026, by officers from the Qingshan Police Station in Shizuishan City. They asked him when he started to practice Falun Gong, if he still practiced it, and who lived with him.
5. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Yu Chunsheng Detained
Mr. Yu Chunsheng, 60, was arrested at home on March 17, 2026. He was detained for several days and released.
6. [Laiyuan County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Xiaofen Detained
Two practitioners were reading the Falun Gong book in Ms. Zhang Xiaofen’s home on March 24, 2026, when officers from the Laiyuan County Domestic Security Division and the Zoumayi Town Police Station broke in. They ransacked Ms. Zhang’s home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, photo of Falun Gong’s founder, and a media player.
Ms. Zhang’s two guests were released on March 25, 2026, while she was admitted to the Baoding Detention Center. On March 27, the police ordered her family to pay for her medical exam but didn’t give any details. They revealed that they suspected her of putting up Falun Gong stickers and were preparing to submit her case to the procuratorate.
