(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 14 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yu Yingjie Sentenced
2. [Huidong County, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yang Ruihuan Detained
3. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Jian Yicong Arrested
4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Father and Son Sentenced
5. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Aimin Incarcerated
6. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Mother and Son’s Appeal Denied
7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Yingjie and Mr. Gao Fei Arrested
8. [Tianjin] Ms. Luo Jixin Detained
9. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xing Ni Detained
10. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Sun Liqing Arrested
1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yu Yingjie Sentenced
Ms. Yu Yingjie was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison on March 16, 2026.
2. [Huidong County, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yang Ruihuan Detained
Ms. Yang Ruihuan, in her 60s, was arrested on February 6, 2026, by officers from the Huidong County Domestic Security Division. They ransacked her home, and seized all of her Falun Gong materials, cash, and personal items. She is being held in Huizhou City. Her family worries about her health.
3. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Jian Yicong Arrested
Ms. Jian Yicong was arrested in August 2022. Her home was ransacked. She was released on bail before dawn. In March 2023, she was harassed and faced indictment. She had been living away from home to avoid further persecution.
Ms. Jian was seized at home on March 17, 2026. The police dragged her away without allowing her to change out of her slippers. Her whereabouts are unknown.
4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Father and Son Sentenced
Mr. Zhang Guozhi and his son, Mr. Zhang Yue, in his 30s, were arrested on July 15, 2024, for distributing Falun Gong flyers. They were sentenced to four-and-a-half years and four years in prison, respectively. The son was admitted to the Jilin Prison, while the father is serving time at the Gongzhuling Prison.
5. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Aimin Incarcerated
Ms. Zhang Aimin, who had advanced paraplegia in both legs years ago, was arrested on April 14, 2025. She is currently imprisoned at the Jilin Province Women’s Prison. Details about her prison sentence aren’t clear.
6. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Mother and Son’s Appeal Denied
Ms. Lu Suping, 69, and her son, Mr. Jian Nan, 45, were both sentenced to six years on December 26, 2025. Their appeals have been denied by the Jinzhou City Intermediate Court.
7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Yingjie and Mr. Gao Fei Arrested
Ms. Liu Yingjie and Mr. Gao Fei were arrested on August 8, 2025, by officers from the Chaoyang Police Station. Their homes were ransacked. Their whereabouts are unknown.
8. [Tianjin] Ms. Luo Jixin Detained
Ms. Luo Jixin was arrested on March 3, 2026. She was released after 10 days at the Wuqing District Lockup.
9. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xing Ni Detained
Ms. Xing Ni was arrested at home on January 28, 2026, by officers from the Lutou Town Police Station. They ransacked her home, seizing her Falun Gong books and 50-yuan currency bills with Falun Gong messages printed on them. She was held in the Yantai City Detention Center for a month and released on bail on February 27.
10. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Sun Liqing Arrested
Mr. Sun Liqing was arrested when he went to visit another practitioner, Mr. Liu Bin, not knowing that police officers were staked out there. The police ransacked Mr. Sun’s home and seized over 100 Falun Gong books.
