(Minghui.org) To mark the 27th anniversary of the April 25 appeal in Beijing, Falun Dafa practitioners held a series of peaceful protests in front of the Chinese Embassy and Consulates in Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Nagoya, and Sapporo from April 21 to 25, 2026. They protested the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution and urged people to help end the persecution.

Osaka

Practitioners from the Kansai region gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate in Osaka on April 21. They displayed banners and called on the CCP to immediately stop the persecution of Falun Gong and stop harvesting organs from living practitioners.

Ms. Wayama, who has protested in front of the Chinese Consulate in Osaka for twenty years, said that as long as the CCP continues its persecution—even for a single day—she will not stop her peaceful protests and efforts to clarify the truth about the persecution, “We persist in coming here because we want to tell people what Falun Dafa is and why the CCP persecutes it. We practice ‘Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance’ and are good people; the CCP is slandering Falun Dafa. We also want to tell Chinese people why they should withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations in order to ensure their safety.”

Chi said that she has benefited both physically and mentally since she began practicing Falun Gong, and she feels immense gratitude toward Falun Dafa and its founder, Master Li Hongzhi. She participates in the event so that she can help people understand why Falun Dafa is being persecuted. She hopes that this persecution will come to an end as soon as possible.

Fukuoka

Six Chinese international students rode past the practitioners’ event on their bicycles. One of them stopped and gave the practitioners a thumbs-up, and they explained the reason for holding the event. The others rode back and listened. After they understood the facts, all six students withdrew from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Later on, two more students came by and quit the CCP.

Ms. Keiko said, “Practitioners outside of China hold in our hearts our fellow practitioners in China who are being persecuted. Just as those practitioners did during the April 25th appeal, we hope that through our peaceful approach, we can voice our appeal and bring an end to this persecution as soon as possible. At the same time, we hope that through our efforts, more people will learn the truth.”

Tokyo

Mr. Sun participated in the protest in front of the Chinese Embassy in Tokyo on April 25th, and held up a banner to call on the CCP to end the persecution.

Mr. Sun

Mr. Sun said that the appeal back then was remarkable because China is ruled by the CCP. By displaying banners in front of the embassy, he hopes that more people will learn about the persecution and the CCP’s tyranny.

Jake, an American who happened to be passing by the Chinese Embassy, said, “I support you—keep it up!”

Jake encouraged the practitioners.

Nagoya

Practitioners held a peaceful protest in front of the Chinese Consulate in Nagoya on April 25, 2026, and displayed four banners bearing the messages: “Falun Dafa Is Good,” “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” “Falun Dafa Has Spread Throughout the World,” and “Falun Gong Benefits Physical and Mental Health.”

Mr. Xu, who participated in the event, said some media outside China noted Falun Dafa practitioners’ calm and peaceful demeanor during the peaceful appeal in Beijing on April 25, twenty-seven years ago.

Mr. Xu was not a practitioner when the appeal was held, but some of his family members were. He was impressed when he heard about the large-scale peaceful appeal, and he said that this laid the groundwork for him to practice Falun Dafa years later in Japan.

He said, “In an authoritarian state—particularly in the wake of the Tiananmen Square protests of June 4, 1989, just a decade earlier—China witnessed a peaceful and rational petitioning activity on such a massive scale that they offered the international community a glimpse of hope for China. This event stood in stark contrast with the brutal repression and persecution of righteous faiths subsequently unleashed by the Chinese Communist government, and draws a clear and distinct line between good and evil.”

Sapporo

Practitioners protested in front of the Chinese Consulate in Sapporo on the evening of April 25, 2026.
