(Minghui.org) I have practiced Falun Dafa for 30 years and gained a lot from it. Master Li has given so much to me. No words can express my gratitude to Master.
Some people asked me what has made me the happiest. I’ve said, “I am happy with a lot of things. I have a happy family. My grandchildren are smart. I live a carefree life. But what makes me the happiest is that I practice Falun Dafa. It is so good to be Master’s disciple.”
Thanks to Master’s guidance, protection, and salvation, I have good health and haven’t been on any medication in the last 30 years. I’ve had my menstrual period again, even though I am 70 years old. My morality is elevated because I practice Falun Dafa. I live happily every day. I read Zhuan Falun and try to let go of my attachments every day. I memorize the Fa, look within when facing conflicts, and try to become a selfless person.
Improving My Xinxing While Writing Articles
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched the persecution of Falun Dafa on July 20, 1999. The CCP regime set up a policy to “ruin their [Falun Dafa practitioners] reputations, bankrupt them financially, and destroy them physically.” Master and Falun Dafa are framed. Practitioners are arrested, beaten, sentenced, and have even had their organs harvested.
Practitioners cultivate themselves according to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. Jiang Zemin, former head of the CCP, saw so many people practicing Falun Dafa and became jealous. He used his power to persecute millions of practitioners and did whatever he wanted out of selfishness.
I decided to write articles to expose the CCP’s lies and tell people the facts about Falun Dafa. For the past 26 years, I have been writing news reports about local practitioners’ situations and articles about the persecution. I also help other practitioners write complaints as part of the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin.
Writing articles provides me with a special cultivation experience. To write the articles well to safeguard Falun Dafa, I must study the Fa well and cultivate myself well first. I view writing articles as a part of saving sentient beings. Under the condition that I cultivate myself well, I go out to clarify the truth to people. This helps my articles become more vivid and authentic.
I grasp every writing opportunity to cultivate my xinxing. One elderly practitioner was sentenced for practicing Falun Dafa. She wanted to file an appeal and needed to write a complaint. She was released on bail for medical reasons. She asked me to help her with the complaint. I put in a lot of time and effort writing the complaint for her. I felt that it was a good one, and I delivered it to her. She came to me the following day and asked me to amend two points. She told me how to write one anecdote and how to narrate another one. I didn’t think my writing would cause any issues, and these two points were not the leading issue in her complaint. But she insisted that I rewrite them. I became impatient. I had another article in hand to write. But she wouldn’t leave if I didn’t change it for her. I looked within as to why she behaved this way. Nothing that happens to a practitioner is accidental. Did it test my patience? I agreed and rewrote these two points for her. She was satisfied and left.
On another occasion, an elderly practitioner wrote an article to celebrate May 13, World Falun Dafa Day. She asked me to revise it for her. It was a long article. I reviewed it for her until lunchtime. But she didn’t leave and still asked me to edit it for her again. I told her that I had already reviewed it for her. She said seriously, “Please review the punctuation marks with me.” I was a bit annoyed. She was a proofreader in her company. I thought that she should proofread the punctuation marks herself. I had many other things to do. At that moment, a thought flashed through my mind: impatience. I realized that she was helping me get rid of my impatience. This was cultivation. I should thank her. So I asked her to have lunch with me and then reviewed the punctuation marks patiently with her. She left satisfied. I saw her off with a smile. During the process, I improved my patience. How sacred cultivation is!
Doing Every Dafa Job Well
One day I visited a practitioner who lived in another city. She showed me a big bag of her writings about the persecution that local practitioners had experienced. She said that she didn’t know how to write now due to the persecution she had suffered. I was surprised. She was a university graduate and had written many articles. I asked her not to acknowledge the persecution and said Master would help her if she wanted to write. She shook her head and said that she was unable to write.
My heart ached. Due to the CCP’s persecution, she had suffered damage to her family, work, mental, and physical health. It is Dafa practitioners’ responsibility to expose the evil and save sentient beings. I had only one thought: to take this bag home and edit or rewrite the articles. She felt relieved and told me the story of each case.
I spent some time reading through them. I combined some other related materials with her local stories and verified every story to ensure the accuracy of each persecution case. I spent one month and wrote the first article, which was an overview of the persecution of the practitioners in her local city and depicted how practitioners risked their lives despite the suppression to save sentient beings. This overview greatly deterred the perpetrators there.
While I was writing the overview, I kept studying the Fa and doing other Dafa projects, and also kept up with household chores. But my priority was to compile the materials well and write the overview well. I spent many days and nights on it. I was not discouraged if I didn’t get answers to my queries. I knew it was cultivation, and I must reach the bar before I could elevate myself. How much I did was not the purpose. Improving my xinxing was the goal.
Master rewarded me for doing what I should do. When I sent my article to Minghui.org in the middle of the night, I saw every word in the article become colorful. There were even different colors within one word. The whole article was covered with red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, and purple colors, and it was as beautiful as a colorful painting. I knew that Master was encouraging me. I must cultivate diligently to be worthy of Master’s grace.
I learned different computer skills while writing my articles. Thanks to Master’s strengthening and the practitioners’ help, I learned how to insert pictures in the articles and how to lay out pages. I write overviews of persecution in our local area every year to expose the perpetrators and provide actual information for other people to use.
I often write articles about the persecution of our local practitioners and send them to the Minghui website. Many of them have been posted on the Minghui website. I also write articles about CCP officials who have been punished by the CCP and send them to the Minghui website. The CCP officials receive retribution for persecuting practitioners. These are wake-up calls for the perpetrators. I write articles with compassion and at the same time remember that Dafa has its dignity and power.
I found that our local weekly paper had stopped after it had published dozens of editions. I then picked it up. I started to learn the layout, editing, how to take photos, and whatever was needed for making the paper. I tried to let go of my reliance on other practitioners. Thanks to Master’s strengthening, practitioners’ help, and the selfless help from the Minghui editors, our local weekly paper has published hundreds of editions. Some practitioners said that our weekly paper was well done. Some said that the articles in the weekly paper exposed the perpetrators in a timely manner. Some of the feedback was that every day, people liked to read our weekly paper because the articles exposed the real local situation, and they could identify the perpetrators. During the process, I let go of many attachments, such as fear, laziness, and reliance on other practitioners.
Practitioners started to file criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin in 2015. I wrote one and sent it to the related legal department. I also helped other practitioners write their complaints. Many of the practitioners were not well educated due to the Cultural Revolution. Some were illiterate. I helped many practitioners with their complaints. Through this process, I felt that I became more mature in the Fa.
I help other practitioners with their experience-sharing articles for the online Fahui twice a year. Sometimes I need to revise an article, edit it, and type it, then send it to the Minghui website. Some practitioners send their articles to me at the last minute, even on the evening of the deadline. I become really busy. I never refused them because this is cultivation. I looked within to see if any of my attachments showed up, and if there was anything I didn’t do from the Fa’s perspective after I finished editing each article. I then rectified myself in the Fa.
Because we cultivate ourselves in ordinary society, practitioners show their human notions and attachments from time to time. Some practitioners didn’t act in line with the Fa and caused a stir among practitioners. Several such things took place in our city. I shared with the practitioners involved first. When the situation involved many practitioners, I wrote an article and sent it to the Minghui website. The article played a positive role when it was published. Most of the practitioners rectified themselves, and only a few remained stuck to their notions.
On one occasion, one of the practitioners asked me if I wrote the article. I said, “Regardless of who wrote it, you should see if it is in line with the Fa and measure it with the Fa.” The practitioner stopped guessing who wrote it. I would like to tell practitioners that the Minghui website always sets the direction right. It is an important platform for exposing evil and saving sentient beings.
Final Remarks
Every practitioner in the Fa-rectification period has his or her own mission and responsibilities. Master taught us,
“And what really matters is whether people’s thoughts and motives make the grade, rather than who has what position in an organization or whether the position is important.” (“Critical Times Reveal One’s Spiritual State”)
Let’s cultivate diligently all the time, help Master save sentient beings, and play greater roles in the final phase of the Fa-rectification period.
