(Minghui.org) To commemorate the 27th anniversary of the April 25 appeal in Beijing, Falun Dafa practitioners in Ireland held a rally on April 25, 2026. They introduced Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) to the public and raised awareness of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution.

People Are Appalled By the Persecution
Mary
Mary thanked practitioners for telling people about the ongoing persecution in China. She read an article about the persecution in a magazine published by an international human rights organization. She also talked with practitioners and learned about the CCP’s state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting.
She condemned the brutality and said, “I’m horrified. I’m horrified that Western governments, which say they’re into human rights, can actually associate with a government like China and do business with them, while their people die,” Mary said. “And I think what’s most terrific is the practitioners, who are doing something peaceful, and yet they’re getting killed for it in a most awful way.”
ACillian signed the petition and said he saw a practitioner's information site when he was in college, so he knew about Falun Dafa.
“Whenever I walked past practitioners, I saw them meditating,” Cillian said. “It looks really peaceful and relaxing, and [they] are not hurting anyone.”
He said signing the petition is something one should do to help stop the forced organ harvesting, “People should care.”
Confidence and Bianca
Confidence had signed the petition before. She said the CCP’s forced organ harvesting, “Is very inhumane and we should do everything we can to stop it.”
Her friend Bianca also supported the practitioners’ efforts. “I always stop at Chinatown in London, and stop and sign. I’m against this persecution. I hope the Communist Party stops it. I think people should have freedom of speech. I think everybody should be free.”
Lilyanne and Shola
Lilyanne said she previously signed the petition calling to stop the forced organ harvesting. Shola said this was the first time she had heard about the CCP’s persecution, but she understood the problems with communism as she has a friend from Cuba.
“I feel happy that you are actually doing things to make more people aware [of the persecution],” Lilyanne said. Shola added, “And it’s a nice way. No loud screaming. It’s peaceful.”
Tin
Tin was appalled at the CCP’s forced organ harvesting and said that it’s incredible that the CCP kills people for organ trafficking and profit.
Referring to the exercise demonstration, he said, “I’m just so impressed that, in the middle of Dublin, surrounded by hectic noise, people can peacefully meditate. It’s just peaceful tranquility. It’s very moving.”

Texas: Rally in Houston Commemorates 27th Anniversary of April 25 Appeal

Mr. Yang of the South US Falun Dafa Association said in the rally, “Practitioners follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. In the past 27 years of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution, many practitioners have lost their lives. But they never give up. They peacefully protest and never yield to the CCP’s pressures.
“The principles are universal values of human beings. In daily life, practitioners uphold kindness, truthfulness, and honesty, cherishing family, and they willingly help others. They maintain a positive and uplifting spirit when facing life’s hardships and challenges. Practitioners pursue spiritual elevation, not worldly fame, fortune, or personal gain.”
Practitioners Safeguard the Rights of All Chinese People
Mr. Liu, who now lives in Houston, is a former police officer in Liaoning Province, China. He only practiced Falun Dafa for six months when the April 25 appeal was held in 1999. He recalled, “Facing the situation and the pressure, I thought over the issue of the CCP’s suppression. As a member of law enforcement, what should I do?
“I experienced many changes in the turbulent times. But one thing was clear: there is nothing wrong with following Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. Falun Dafa teaches people to be good and benefits practitioners by improving their health and uplifting their morals. This is good for any people or country. My family benefits from the practice. No media or government officials can deny the fact.”
Mr. Liu and his family experienced a lot of suffering because they refused to give up their belief. Now they live in the US and commemorate the April 25 appeal. He said, “For 27 years, practitioners have kept raising awareness of the persecution. They safeguard their basic rights of freedom of belief and freedom of speech, which are also the rights of all Chinese people.”
Quitting the CCP
Some Chinese residents and students renounced the CCP and its affiliated organizations during the event. Mr. Yan passed by the rally and returned to talk with a practitioner. He said he used a software program to get around the CCP’s information censorship when he was in China, and he learned about the persecution. “I have been in the US for a few years. With freedom, my life is different here,” he said.
He renounced the Communist Youth League and Young Pioneers using his real name. He also signed a petition to help end the persecution. He said, “Today, I officially completed the necessary formalities—even though, deep down, I ceased to recognize those two organizations a long time ago. Thank you all today; it is truly a matter of destiny that our paths have crossed. I stand with you.”
A young man surnamed Li from Macao is studying in the US. He said he heard of the persecution and learned about practitioners’ events. He said, “I support Falun Dafa. The collapse of the CCP is inevitable. In human history, it is an abnormal thing and cannot remain. I hope its collapse does not cause more disaster to China. I hope China has democracy as early as possible and people live a happy life.”
