(Minghui.org) Life presents us with countless choices about our lives and the future. Seemingly ordinary events happening around me deepened my appreciation of the unseen, yet undeniable, reality of cause and effect. I’d like to share three stories that illustrate this.
My Husband’s Ex-Wife and Her Brother
I married my current husband in 2005. When we first met, he wasn’t a Falun Dafa practitioner, but he soon began practicing.
After he practiced for about three months he started clarifying the truth about the persecution and helping people quit the Chinese Comunist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations. He asked me if deceased people could quit. When I said they could, he asked me to help his ex-wife quit the Communist Youth League, which she had joined before she died. I did.
A few days later my husband told me that his ex-wife appeared to him in a dream and said she was doing well and he needn’t worry about her. She was smiling and looked healthy, completely different from before. I knew she had truly been saved.
My husband’s ex-wife’s younger brother was furious when he heard that my husband started practicing Dafa, and from then on, he barely spoke to him. My husband went to visit him when he was hospitalized. As soon as he entered his room, the brother asked angrily, “What are you doing here?”
My husband smiled and said, “I heard you were hospitalized, so I came to see you.”
His brother immediately responded, “Why do you practice Falun Gong? The CCP doesn’t allow it, yet you still practice it. You’re against the CCP. It pays your pension. You’re really outrageous!”
My husband said, “Look how good Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is, yet the CCP doesn’t allow it.”
The younger brother immediately interrupted him, “Stop talking! We have different views. Just leave!” Seeing how agitated he was, my husband left.
A week later, the younger brother was discharged from the hospital and came to visit us with his wife. This was the first time we’d all met. After a few polite words and some casual conversation, they left. He called me “Elder Sister,” which is meant to convey respect, friendliness, and warmth.
He was riding an electric scooter and was hit by a truck a month later. His condition was serious and he was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU). My husband rushed to the hospital, but because he was in the ICU, the doctors wouldn’t let my husband see him. His brother passed away.
Five weeks later, while his memorial service was underway, I was half-asleep at home, when I thought I saw his spirit outside my window. His hands and feet were tied to a stake behind his back, his head was hanging down and his face was contorted in pain. He begged me to quickly help him quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. His attitude was very sincere. I said, “If you believed me earlier, this wouldn’t have happened. I’ll help you quit. You can leave now!” After I agreed, he left.
My Nephew
My nephew is a village official and CCP member. I told him about Dafa many times and urged him to quit the CCP, but he just wouldn’t believe me. He was diagnosed with stomach cancer, and when I visited him in hospital, I again urged him to quit. I said, “Don’t be so sceptical. Only Dafa can help you!”
He finally agreed and said, “Okay, I’ll give it a try!” The word “try” implied he still didn’t believe me.
The next day, my brother went to the hospital to see his son (my nephew). My nephew told him I tried to persuade him to renounce his CCP membership. My brother, also a government official, didn’t believe in Dafa either, and told his son not to listen to me.
My nephew passed away three days later. That night, he appeared at my bedside and said, “Auntie, what you said worked.”
I responded, “If you believed it earlier, you wouldn’t have died.” I knew that even if he hadn’t fully believed the profound truths I told him while he was alive, because he promised to withdraw from the CCP, it still had some effect.
The ancients said, “Whispers among men are heard by Heaven like thunder; guilt in a dark room is seen by the gods like lightning.” Chinese believed that gods can see through all the good and evil, beauty and ugliness in the world, but whether, or when, they intervene is beyond human prediction.
The net of justice is vast, and nothing escapes it. I hope people wake up, see through the CCP’s lies, severe their ties to the Party, and quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations as soon as possible, so they can choose a bright future for themselves.
