(Minghui.org) I clarified the truth about the persecution face to face for more than 20 years, and in the process I’ve matured.
I understand the importance of studying the Fa (teachings). Every day I read one or two lectures of Zhuan Falun, and I memorize the Fa whenever I have time. I began memorizing in 2006. While I read and memorize I gain new understandings of the Fa’s principles, and I use the teachings to examine my thoughts and actions when I encounter conflicts or tribulations. When my thoughts are not in line with the Fa I correct myself.
I’ve gradually removed attachments such as fear, jealousy, showing off, competitiveness, resentment when I criticized, and the mentality of judging others. Because of this, my cultivation path has been steady.
I’d like to tell you about some of my experiences.
Finding the Right Starting Point to Clarify the Truth
When I first began telling people about the persecution I often thought: “Where should I begin? How can I help people understand the truth?”
Master’s Fa enlightened me, and I had wisdom.
I developed an approach that people could understand. I say, “When you joined the Young Pioneers, the Youth League, or the Communist Party, didn’t you raise your fist and swear to devote your life to communism? I also joined those organizations and made those vows. At that time, we did not understand what those words meant. We only felt excited and thought it sounded good.”
Most people nodded in agreement.
Then I would continue, “But now, if we think about it carefully, what does that vow mean? It means giving one’s life to communism and the Communist Party. But our lives belong to ourselves. How can we hand them over to someone else?”
I explain that many people choose to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations using aliases, thereby voiding those vows. I also tell people that when they quit the CCP they choose a bright future for themselves.
Most people accept this and agree to withdraw from the CCP organizations. When some are fearful and hesitant, I reassure them: “Only Heaven, Earth, and you know that you’ve withdrawn. No one else needs to know.”
I also met Christians who told me how wonderful it was to believe in God. I listen, then say, “Faith is a good thing. The Bible teaches people to do good and be kind, right?” They usually agree.
Then I ask, “But when you joined the Party organizations, didn’t you vow to devote your life to communism? Communism promotes atheism and does not believe in God. So which do you believe in—God or communism?”
Most Christians I talk to decide to withdraw from the CCP organizations.
After helping people withdraw, I continue clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa, including the staged Tiananmen self-immolation incident, the truth behind the April 25 appeal, the fabricated 1,400 deaths and crimes to frame Falun Dafa practitioners, the hidden-character stone, and the persecution, including organ harvesting. If time allows, I explained more; if not, I summarize the key points.
When we finish speaking, some people smile and said goodbye, while others press their hands together in heshi. I know that their knowing side understands.
Eliminating My Human Notions
Regardless of whom I meet, I take the initiative to speak with them and encourage them to withdraw from the CCP organizations.
I clarify the truth to retired workers, farmers selling vegetables, store clerks, shoppers, utility workers who come to my home, sanitation workers, and many others. The results are often good.
But what about police officers or community officials who come to my door?During the early years of the persecution, I had fear. I regarded them as people who came to persecute practitioners and I did not dare clarify the truth to them.
However, after memorizing the Fa, Master enlightened me. I realized that they too came to this world for the Fa. They are beings who are waiting to be saved. They were not coming to harass me, but to hear the truth.
Once my mindset changed, much of my fear disappeared. With Master’s help, I was able to receive them, clarify the truth, and encourage them to withdraw from the CCP.
Because they belong to a special group, it is more difficult for them to accept the truth compared to ordinary people. But whenever they came to my home, I clarified the truth to them.
Some of them understood and no longer opposed me. Three local police officers and three community directors eventually withdrew from the CCP organizations. My relationship with them became more like friends.
Last July, a local police officer who already withdrew from the CCP came to my home and brought a young female officer. He told me he was about to retire.
I jokingly said, “So now there is another officer taking over your position.”
He introduced her. I clarified the truth to her, and she agreed to withdraw from the CCP.
Overcoming Difficulties
Last June, former coworkers from another city invited me to attend a gathering which was more than an hour’s drive away. I knew this was a valuable opportunity to clarify the truth, but I hesitated.
After they filed criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin in 2015, many practitioners encountered difficulties while traveling by train or high-speed rail. In 2016, after I passed through a railway security checkpoint, police detained me and took me to a nearby station. I was not afraid and clarified the truth to them. I returned home safely that day, although they confiscated my copy of Zhuan Falun and did not return it.
That experience left a shadow on my mind, and I stopped traveling by train. Still, I felt this reunion was an opportunity to save people. After asking Master for strength, I planned the trip with my family. My son agreed to drive me there. For safety reasons, I brought a phone with a removable battery.
Most of my former coworkers already withdrew from the CCP organizations and understood the truth, so they were supportive.
With the cooperation of my son and coworkers, and with Master’s protection, the gathering went smoothly. I clarified the truth to 20 coworkers and I helped them all of them withdraw from the CCP. I also distributed 20 truth-clarification packages containing informational booklets, special issues about withdrawing from the CCP, Minghui Weekly, amulets, and stories about people receiving blessings after saying “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
I returned home safely that afternoon.
I know that every step I’ve taken on my cultivation journey was under Master’s guidance and protection. Only because of Master’s grace have I been able to walk steadily to this day.
