(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners uphold their belief and share the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance with the world even though the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has persecuted the practice for over 25 years. Prior the 27th World Falun Dafa Day, the cities of Englewood, Dayton, and Mason in Ohio, USA, proclaimed May 13, 2026, “Falun Dafa Day,” calling on “those of us who live in freedom” to remember practitioners’ perseverance and sacrifice.

Mayor Cathy McGrail of the City of Englewood issued a proclamation proclaiming May 13, 2026, “Falun Dafa Day.” The proclamation reads, in part: “Falun Dafa transcends cultural boundaries and contributes to a healthier, more harmonious society. It is an uplifting mind-body practice centered upon the universal principles of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance. It empowers individuals to embrace high virtues and improves their wellbeing holistically. Hundreds of millions, in over 90 countries, have benefited from it since its introduction, in China, on May 13, 1992.”

The proclamation noted that practitioners have touched the lives of people in Englewood and around the world by offering free instruction in the exercises both online workshops and at outdoor exercise sites. Many have found them to be life-changing.

The proclamation also says: “As we seek to honor Falun Dafa on the 34th anniversary of its founding, we in particular want to recognize the ongoing legacy of commitment to truth and compassion that has been brought into the world by those practitioners who persevered in the face of the brutal crackdown in China. We feel that those of us who live in freedom owe a debt to their sacrifice, and that will be remembered by all of us who celebrate Falun Dafa Day on May 13th.”
