(Minghui.org) The Weifang City Intermediate Court in Shandong Province ruled against two Falun Gong practitioners around May 28, 2026, without holding a hearing.
Ms. Sun Fumei, 58, and Mr. Li Shengxing, 65, both residents of Shouguang City (which is under the administration of Weifang City), were arrested on August 26, 2025, and wrongfully convicted by the Shouguang City Court on February 23, 2026.
Ms. Sun, a retired senior lecturer from Weifang University of Science and Technology, was given a four-year prison term and fined 48,000 yuan. Mr. Li, a retired teacher from Shouguang First High School, was sentenced to three and a half years and fined 42,000 yuan. See the related reports for details of their arrests and prosecution.
Without holding a hearing as required by law, the Weifang City Intermediate Court ruled around May 28, 2026, to uphold the prison sentences of Ms. Sun and Mr. Li.
