(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 9 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Suiling County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Shuzhi Arrested in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region
2. [Ankang City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zhong Yulan Missing
3. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Guo Zhimin Taken to Prison
4. [Wanzai County, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Guo Yunying’s Home Ransacked
5. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xin Honglan Released on Bail
6. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yin Huimei Released from Prison
7. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Xing Tongfu and Mr. Zhang Yudong Harassed
8. [Chicheng County, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Shuping Arrested
1. [Suiling County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Shuzhi Arrested in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region
Ms. Liu Shuzhi was staying in Aksu Prefecture, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region to help her son look after her grandchild. She was recorded by surveillance cameras while putting up Falun Gong materials on the evening of May 20, 2026. Seven local police officers stormed into her son’s home that night for a search. They confiscated her Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, cell phones, and other personal belongings. Ms. Liu was arrested.
2. [Ankang City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zhong Yulan Missing
Ms. Zhong Yulan, in her 60s, has been missing since mid-May 2026.
3. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Guo Zhimin Taken to Prison
Ms. Guo Zhimin was arrested by Chengyang Police Station officers on October 24, 2025. She was held at the Pudong Detention Center. She was tried by Chengyang District Court on March 19, 2026, and sentenced to one year and six months in prison. She appealed, but the Qingdao City Intermediate Court ruled to uphold her original verdict.
Despite the fact that Ms. Guo was diagnosed with terminal colorectal cancer in May 2026 at the detention center, the guards still notified her family on May 20, 2026, that she had been transferred to Shandong Province Women’s Prison.
4. [Wanzai County, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Guo Yunying’s Home Ransacked
Five officers from Wanzai County Domestic Security Division, including Li Hui, broke into Ms. Guo Yunying’s home on May 13, 2026. They raided the place and confiscated several Falun Gong books, a photo of the founder of Falun Gong, a media player, an MP3 player, memory cards, cash, clothes, and other items.
5. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xin Honglan Released on Bail
Ms. Xin Honglan’s home was ransacked in late January 2026. Her personal belongings were confiscated. She was arrested and later released on bail for one year.
6. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yin Huimei Released from Prison
Ms. Yin Huimei, nearly 70, was arrested at home by Taidong Police Station officers in December 2025 and placed under criminal detention at Qingdao Second Detention Center. She was sentenced to six months in prison at an unknown time, and has been released since then.
7. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Xing Tongfu and Mr. Zhang Yudong Harassed
Mr. Xing Tongfu and Mr. Zhang Yudong were harassed on April 24, 2026. Officers from Gantun Township Police Station tore down posted couplets from their front doors.
8. [Chicheng County, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Shuping Arrested
Ms. Li Shuping was arrested at home on May 14, 2026, by Li Zhenqian, deputy head of Chicheng County Domestic Security Division. Li cited an old case of her in 2023, when she was reported for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was taken to the police station and released in the afternoon.
