(Minghui.org) Practitioners held an event in Haarlem in the western Netherlands on June 6, 2026, to introduce Falun Dafa and tell people how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes it. Many people talked with them and signed the petition to end the persecution.

Haarlem is the capital of the Province of Northern Holland. With a population of about 160,000, Haarlem is considered the nation’s flower capital and center of the bulb-growing region. The city is a cultural hub and home to numerous historic buildings and unique museums.

Practitioners displayed information, demonstrated the exercises, handed out flyers, and spoke with passersby at the Grote Markt, Haarlem’s central market square. The event drew many people. They talked with practitioners, understood the facts about the persecution and encouraged them.
College Student Enjoys Watching Exercises
Hunick (man in black jacket in the back) said he enjoyed watching the exercise demonstration.
Hunick lives in Haarlem and attends the Delft University of Technology. When he and a friend passed by the event on Saturday, he stopped to watch practitioners do the exercises and told his friend about Falun Dafa. He said excitedly that he’d previously seen practitioners in front of the Utrecht Central Station before, and did not expect to see them in Haarlem.
A practitioner explained, “We’ve held events throughout Haarlem. If you’re interested in learning the exercises, you can go to a nearby group exercise site or the Falun Dafa website.”
Hunick said that he likes the exercise movements. He also likes China and plans to study in China as an exchange student. After the practitioner told him about the persecution suffered by practitioners in China, he said, “It’s unbelievable!”
People Support Falun Dafa
An art school teacher recorded the scene as practitioners talked to people, and said he planned to tell his students about the event.
After a man read the flyer and talked to a practitioner, he signed the petition. He also fist-bumped the practitioner to encourage hum.

A boy learned the exercise movements and even though many people were walking by, he focused on following the practitioner’s movements. The practitioner patiently demonstrated the movements and explained step by step.
Many people signed the petition after learning about Falun Dafa and the CCP’s persecution. Some encouraged practitioners, while others continued talking to them.
