(Minghui.org) For over 100 million people around the world, May 13 is a very special date to celebrate—a day that changed their lives for the better in terms of mental well-being, physical health, and spiritual peace of mind.
On May 13, 1992, Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, introduced the practice to the public for the first time via a seminar given in his hometown of Changchun. Every year since 2000, practitioners around the globe have recognized this date as World Falun Dafa Day.
This year, practitioners in Romania organized a series of activities to express their immense gratitude for Master Li’s teachings and benevolence.
Practitioners set up a booth at Roman Square in Bucharest to introduce the practice to the public, and Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance on May 9, 2026. They set up another booth on May 15 in Calea Victoriei, and took this opportunity to raise awareness of the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
From May 13 to 17, practitioners also demonstrated the exercises in King Michael Park, studied the teachings of the practice together, and shared cultivation experiences.

Isabela and David stopped at the booth on Roman Square to find out more about Falun Dafa. When Isabela heard that practitioners live by the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, she said these values are very good, and that “everyone should follow them.”
The two also signed a petition condemning the CCP for persecuting the practice in China.

Adam, a teenager, was impressed by how practitioners can uphold these values despite life’s many difficulties—like the mainland Chinese practitioners who are persecuted for their beliefs. He signed the petition to condemn the persecution, saying, “I would like to encourage practitioners in China to resist the persecution, and remain united in their faith.”

Sharon and Denzel were visiting Romania from Florida, and signed the petition when they learned about the persecution. They said they also try to live by Falun Dafa’s principles, and “the practitioners in China should be released immediately, and allowed to practice their faith.”
Denzel added that good people who practice such principles should have freedom of belief.
As Christians, they also follow patience and forgiveness, and said such principles should be protected, not persecuted. Sharon wanted to try the exercises, and was happy when she saw the link on a flyer, so she could watch them and learn the practice at home.
