(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 12 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Hearing Scheduled for Seven Practitioners
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Hearing Rescheduled for Ms. Liu Shujie
3. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Yuan Jianying Detained
4. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Yulian Arrested
5. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Yutao and Ms. Cheng Donglan Detained
1. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Hearing Scheduled for Seven Practitioners
Mr. Xu Zhenguo, Ms. Zhao Shuping, Ms. Xiong Fengyan, Ms. Xia Xiuhua, Ms. Tang Guiyan, Ms. Yao Xiurong, and Mr. Wang Liwu were arrested on October 28, 2025. Ms. Xia, Mr. Wang, and Ms. Xiong were released on bail. The rest of the practitioners were held at the Fengrun District Detention Center. They were scheduled to appear at the Zunhua City Court on June 4, 2026.
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Hearing Rescheduled for Ms. Liu Shujie
Ms. Liu Shujie was arrested on August 6, 2025. The Ganjingzi District Court initially scheduled her hearing for May 20, 2026, but later postponed it to June 3.
3. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Yuan Jianying Detained
Ms. Yuan Jianying, 57, was arrested on April 28, 2026, by officers from the Chengbei Police Station. She has been held at the Suzhou City Fourth Detention Center since.
4. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Yulian Arrested
Ms. Liu Yulian, 77, was arrested in early May 2026 by officer Gao Haimin and others from the Linqing City Domestic Security Office.
5. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Yutao and Ms. Cheng Donglan Detained
Ms. Zhang Yutao, in her 80s, was arrested on April 23, 2026, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was detained and released on May 2.
Ms. Cheng Donglan, 73, was stopped by two female officers on May 9, 2026. They forced her into their car and drove her to a police station. They searched her bag and ordered her to reveal where she got the paper currency printed with Falun Gong messages. She said she exchanged it with someone on the street. The police ransacked her home and took her to the Xichang City Detention Center. She was released on May 21, as the procuratorate did not approve her arrest.
