(Minghui.org) Before I began practicing Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong), I was tortured by illnesses so badly that I felt I could not bear to stay alive for a minute longer. I was 28 years old. Seeing my four-year-old daughter washing her father’s clothes made me feel so heartbroken. I thought, “If I were to leave just like that, my daughter would be so pitiful without a mom. I am determined to find a qigong practice to cure my illnesses and see if I can live on for my daughter.”
I know that Master’s Law Body led my mom to help me go to a park where I found Falun Dafa. He also guided me to see that the practice’s unique points included the words “cultivation practice” in the introductory materials, and Dafa practitioners follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance to cultivate their xinxing and become good people. Finding these remarkable characteristics lit my heart up and I wept in gratitude, because I had finally found the Dafa that I had been searching for for a long time. That year was 1997.
I ate a boiled egg after returning to my mom’s house that day after encountering Falun Dafa and fell asleep for a while. Upon waking up, I felt energized and knew that I could continue living. I then went to a local Dafa practitioner’s house to watch Master’s nine-day lecture videos. Although I slept through the lectures all nine days, my ears were able to listen and understand what Master was saying. Master also cleansed my body and helped me understand some of the profound content of Dafa.
As my xinxing improved, I changed a lot, both physically and mentally. After listening to the nine-day lectures, I regained my health without taking any medication. People around me witnessed the miraculous nature of Dafa, and my mom, daughter, and grandmother all started practicing Falun Dafa. My husband, brother, and sister-in-law also supported our cultivation. Our relatives, neighbors, and my husband’s colleagues all witnessed the changes in me after practicing Falun Dafa, and I understood that Dafa is here to save people. My elder brother, especially, personally witnessed how Falun Dafa saved me, and was often moved to tears, telling relatives and friends that Falun Dafa is good.
My Elder Brother Survives a Car Accident
During the pandemic in 2020, I gave my elder brother a few amulets because he wanted to help his friends know that Falun Dafa is good so that they could remain safe. As he rode an electric bike to deliver the amulets to his friends, he was hit by a car that came racing toward him from the opposite direction. The driver was in a hurry to get to work and was driving too fast. The heavy impact slammed my brother and his electric bike to the ground. His glasses were smashed, his helmet flew off on impact, and one side of his body had made a big concave dent in the car.
Many people were on the street, and everyone came over to investigate. My brother heard people say that a person had been struck and killed. Hearing that, he stood up, shook himself, and everything seemed fine. He quickly told those people, “I am a Falun Gong practitioner, and I am fine. I have Master’s protection!”
With this thought, he really was unharmed. His skin was not even scraped. He told the driver, “Don’t worry. I do not want your money.” The surrounding people asked my brother to go to the hospital for a checkup and said that the driver should give my brother money. When the driver tried to leave his contact number just in case, my brother refused that too.
Actually, my elder brother had only understood that Dafa is good, but had yet to start practicing. He had listened to Master’s recorded lectures and he followed the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance to be a good person. He even dared to say that Falun Dafa is good under extreme pressure. It is truly remarkable that he maintained such a positive mindset, which resulted in this miracle where he escaped unharmed in such a dangerous situation.
After reaching home, my brother told me all that had happened and I told him that Master had protected him because what he did was right. Master even repaid a life for him.
Master said,
“All of these kinds of things come to take away one’s life. But one will not be in real danger.” (Lecture Three, Zhuan Falun)
Now, whenever we mention this matter, our whole family is still very thankful to Master for saving my elder brother’s life.
Master Exerts Every Effort to Save Us
In 2002, when the persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was very severe, I left my home and lived elsewhere. During that period, three other practitioners from another area had been released from detention after having been incarcerated for their faith in Falun Dafa. In order to avoid being arrested again, they did not dare stay for even a short time at their relatives’ houses. With no other options, a practitioner led them to the place where I was staying. We initially did not know one another. I felt that Master gave me great courage to shoulder the responsibility to allow them stay at my place.
I asked my husband (who had yet to start practicing Falun Dafa) if he would let them stay where I was staying at the time (my husband still lived at our home). My husband readily agreed and even gave them a key to the house. During that time, we were also taking responsibility for different truth-clarification projects and he provided us with all sorts of conveniences to go out and return home safely.
On Sundays, he rode our motorbike from our home, which was more than 50 kilometers [31 miles] miles away, to bring us meat, grain, vegetables, and other food items to ensure we ate well. Under Master’s protection, he was able to avoid the surveillance people every time, and travel to and from safely. With enlightenment from Master through dreams, we changed our living location three times.
When I recall that period of time, in which we made it through with fear but no serious mishaps under Master’s protection and enlightenment, I feel that Master has really exerted every effort for all of us.
Clarifying the Truth While Being Arrested
In 2004, when I was still living out of town and clarifying the truth in that area, I met a person from my hometown. He told me, “There are rumors circulating in our local political and legal affairs committee that you (referring to me) were long dead.” I felt uneasy upon hearing that, and I thought of going back to prove that I was living well so that they wouldn’t mislead the people from my hometown. Through studying the Fa continuously and getting rid of my fear, I returned home after my period of displacement under Master’s protection. After returning home, I braved the pressure and was able to keep cooperating with local practitioners and take part in truth-clarification projects.
The Olympic Games were held in Beijing in 2008 and I was once again arrested for my faith. As I did not cooperate with the police and people from my workplace, who came to my house to harass me, they kept a watch outside my house from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. They attempted to arrest me and used all sorts of methods to deceive me into opening the door for them.
I then made use of the opportunity to clarify the truth to them. I said, “Falun Dafa is for everyone on Earth. It’s just that you have forgotten about it. Master taught us to follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance to be a good, and even better, person. There is nothing wrong with that, and having a belief is legal. It is the persecution that is wrong. On the contrary, you are the ones who are committing a crime, so I am not going to open the door for you.”
I opened the window and saw more than 100 people crowding the sidewalk down below to see what was going on. I shouted out loud, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” Later, the Political and Legal Affairs Commission, along with more than 30 police officers, summoned someone to force open the lock. They destroyed the lock on my security door with an electric drill, broke in, and shoved me into a police car.
All this while, I told the surrounding people, “Everyone, I follow Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance to be a good person, and I did not violate any law. Dafa has spread to more than 100 countries and regions around the world, every country allows the practice, so it is the police here who are violating the law when they arbitrarily arrest Falun Dafa practitioners. The police do not understand the truth and are being used by the CCP to detain, sentence, and carry out forced organ harvesting on Falun Dafa practitioners. I do not know if I will return alive after this arrest. All of you are witnesses.”
I saw many people who had understood the truth wiping away tears, and I also helped a few police officers quit the CCP. After I clarified the truth for more than 30 minutes to the crowd, the police, who were ransacking my house, came out. Under Master’s protection, nothing was confiscated from my house. I returned home after being illegally detained for more than 10 days.
My Husband Supports Dafa and Never Contracted the Virus
After that illegal house raid, police officers came to my house on three occasions, placing enormous pressure on my husband. As he supported me in my cultivation, he withstood the pressure and cleverly took the opportunity of a rainy day to move all the Dafa books and truth-clarification materials in our house to a safe place. There were many surveillance cameras in the residential districts of the county town, but Master’s empowerment and protection enabled us to distribute informational materials to every household.
Back then, computers were not widespread yet, and I typed very slowly, but our local practitioners managed to persuade many people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. I would ask my husband to help me type out words. Although he worked with a computer in his office, those were under surveillance. But as he typed really fast, he made use of the break times during work to type up the list of names of those who quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, and was able to block the surveillance while doing so. I would then check the list before submitting it online. He also helped several practitioners edit cultivation sharing articles on the computer.
As he understood the truth and did things that met Dafa’s requirements, Master protected my husband. As such, he was the only one in his whole office who did not contract the virus during the pandemic, and he was the only one left working in the office for a period of time.
My husband follows the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance to be a good person, works with a serious and responsible attitude, and is considerate in whatever he does. Many people know that I cultivate in Falun Dafa, and what my husband has done makes everyone think that he cultivates in Falun Dafa too.
There are so many things to thank Master for. We can only do the three things well, study the Fa more, cultivate ourselves better, and save more people. I hope that all people in the world can understand the truth soon and be saved.
