(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners participated in the 96th Jubilee Day Street Fair on June 18, 2026, in Mechanicsburg, PA, where they raised awareness of the ongoing persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Elected officials, including U.S. Representative Scott Perry, expressed opposition to the CCP’s brutality that targets Falun Gong (Falun Dafa).
Held near the state capital in Harrisburg, the Jubilee Day Street Fair attracts about 70,000 attendees, and has been called the longest running and largest, one-day street fair on the East Coast. Many people stopped at the booth and learned about Falun Gong, and approximately 400 people signed petitions calling for an end to the CCP atrocities.

Representative Perry: Bipartisan Legislation to End Forced Organ Harvesting
Representative Scott Perry visited the booth to express his support for Falun Gong practitioners. He said it was great to see practitioners and supporters celebrating Jubilee Day during the event.

Representative Perry commended the practitioners for their efforts in exposing the CCP’s persecution to the public. “Many people [in this country] can’t imagine that forced organ harvesting, slavery, and this religious oppression happens, because it doesn’t happen here. But it does happen in China,” he remarked.
Representative Perry further pointed out that because the CCP has long covered up the facts, many Americans are unaware of these issues when they purchase Chinese-made goods. He said we import goods from China, and people buy these products. “But they don’t know that the Chinese government forcibly harvest organs, oppresses people based on their beliefs,” he explained. So it is very important to raise awareness to the public.
He said that much of this information does not appear in the everyday news that people read, so community events provide an opportunity for the public to learn the facts. He said that when people ask what is going on, you can tell them and let them know about these atrocities happening in China.
Speaking about the recent passage of Senate Foreign Relations Committee S.4009, Falun Gong and Victims of Forced Organ Harvesting Protection Act, Representative Perry expressed great appreciation for the bipartisan support for the legislation.
He said Americans are sometimes so divided that they’re all looking for something we can all agree on, but this topic is different. “No matter what side of the aisle you’re on—what your political beliefs are, nobody believes that forced organ harvesting and slavery is okay. And that’s one thing that we can all agree on,” Representative Perry concluded.
Gubernatorial Candidate: Exposing Human Rights Violations is Very Important
Stacy Garrity, the Republican gubernatorial candidate for Pennsylvania and the current Pennsylvania Treasurer, attended the event.

Ms. Garetti expressed her support after learning that the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee just passed S.4009 to protect Falun Gong. She also thanked practitioners for their long-standing efforts to tell people the facts, and for upholding freedom of belief in the community.
It is always good and very important to expose human rights violations, she added.
Support From the Public
Many attending the Jubilee Day came to the Falun Gong booth to learn about the practice, and signed a petition calling for an end to the CCP’s persecution, including organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners.
Kitty Henry and her husband talked with Falun Gong practitioners.
Kitty Henry said she attends Jubilee Day every year. She was shocked when she learned about the persecution of faith and organ harvesting in China.
Ms. Henry said she believes it is very important for Falun Gong practitioners to share the information with the public. “I’m glad they’re doing what they should be doing. I hope this will change the situation,” she explained. She said she signed it “to help stop the wrong things from happening.”

Megan, a healthcare worker, brought her three children to the celebration that day. She stopped at the Falun Gong booth and signed the petition.
Megan said that although this was the first time she’s heard of Falun Gong, she previously heard of similar persecution. She thought it was very meaningful for Falun Gong practitioners to be present at a community event.
As a mother, she signed a petition because she did not want to hear about any harm being done to Falun Gong practitioners, especially to children. This is because children are very important and we do not want our children to be harmed in any way.

Business owner Scott said he had previously heard about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong and forced organ harvesting, and said that forced organ harvesting is immoral. If evil people are in power, this kind of thing can easily happen anywhere, he explained.
Scott signed the petition against forced organ harvesting without hesitation, and emphasized that everyone has a responsibility to expose this. If you don’t speak out, no one will know. He said Falun Gong practitioners and others should do everything they can to stop this because it is a crime against humanity.
