(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Bingfang Facing Trial
2. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Detained
3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Meihua and Ms. Liu Xiaoxia Arrested
4. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Mr. Yan Sanming Taken to Brainwashing Center
5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
6. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Yan Detained
7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yang Hua Detained and Harassed
8. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Fu Wenjie Denied Family Visits While Serving Wrongful Terms
1. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Bingfang Facing Trial
Ms. Liu Bingfang was arrested by officers from the Dongying District Police Department on April 9, 2026, while talking to people about Falun Gong. She has been held at the Dongying City Detention Center since. She was scheduled to stand trial on June 16, 2026.
2. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Detained
Ms. Zhang Shufen, Ms. Zhang Xiujuan, Mr. Miao Yongli, and Mr. Ma Yingjie were arrested on the evening of June 9, 2026. Their homes were ransacked. They are all held at the Tangshan City First Detention Center.
3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Meihua and Ms. Liu Xiaoxia Arrested
Ms. Xu Meihua and Ms. Liu Xiaoxia were arrested on June 10, 2026, by officers from the Nanguanling Police Station and Lijia Street Police Station, respectively. It is unknown where they are currently detained.
4. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Mr. Yan Sanming Taken to Brainwashing Center
Mr. Yan Sanming was arrested at home by officers from the Xundian Town Police Station on the evening of June 3, 2026. The police ransacked his home and confiscated his Falun Gong books and a media player. He was taken to the Changsong Brainwashing Center for 15 days.
5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Mr. Xu Zhengyuan, 86; Ms. Shi Shuqing, around 71; Bi, around 54; and Zheng, around 64, were arrested on February 28, 2026.
The police ransacked Mr. Xu’s home and confiscated his Falun Gong books, the photo of Falun Gong’s founder, a computer, and a printer. He was interrogated in the police department that night. The Daheishan Detention Center denied his admission the next day due to his age and medical condition. While the police released him later that day, they arrested him again a day later and took him to a hospital for a medical exam. He was still denied admission by the detention center. The police then released him on a six-month house arrest.
6. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Yan Detained
Ms. Liu Yan was arrested in early June 2026 and given 10 days at the Laixi City Lockup.
7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yang Hua Detained and Harassed
Ms. Yang Hua was arrested by the Nanhu Police Station officers on April 2, 2026, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. She was detained for 13 days at the Weizigou Lockup.
Ms. Yang was harassed on April 29 and May 8, 2026, by officers from the Mingzhu Police Station, Fuyu Street Committee, and Changchun City Political and Legal Affairs Committee. They ordered her to sign statements not to distribute Falun Gong informational materials anymore. She refused to comply. The police threatened to monitor her daily life.
8. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Fu Wenjie Denied Family Visits While Serving Wrongful Terms
Ms. Fu Wenjie, 65, was arrested on June 2, 2025, during a police sweep. She was sentenced to five and a half years by the Linghai City Court on December 4, 2025. She was admitted to the Liaoning Province Second Women’s Prison on May 21, 2026. Her family applied several times to visit her, but the prison denied all of their requests.
