(Minghui.org) Throughout the years I have been primarily responsible for printing materials that help clarify the truth. As I was obstructed by human attachments like worries and fear, I had not been able to go out to clarify the truth to people face-to-face. So I always admired practitioners who did so in an upright and dignified manner.
I looked within and found that I had a selfish thought of not being able to reach the goal of cultivation if I do not go out to clarify the truth, and also the fear of losing face. Another reason is that my parents passed away a long time ago, so I was in foster care since I was young. I normally did not dare to speak much in case I became a source of annoyance and stopped people from listening to me. The fear grew and I no longer liked to speak or knew how to speak to others. My daughter often said half jokingly that I was a good listener, because I always listened to others but didn’t express my own opinions.
Later, I realized that this was wrong. This was the mode that the old forces had set to create a notion and obstacle of not wanting to speak much, so that I could not complete my part of the mission to clarify the truth to people face-to-face, and hold up the big task of saving sentient beings.
One day, I told another practitioner my thoughts, which was going out to clarify the truth face-to-face. She quickly helped me find a small truth-clarifying group, and asked a practitioner, who had always gone out to clarify the truth, to guide me. With this practitioner’s guidance and encouragement I gradually dared to clarify the truth to people, too.
I let go of the mindset that I am in my 70s, and humbly learned from young practitioners how to clarify the truth to people. As I did not like to speak, I started practicing on speaking more with strangers and getting closer to them. I thought that I must get rid of the fear of speaking more, my excessive pride, and attachment to reputation. Only by letting go of my ego, can I launch my first step to clarify the truth to people.
Beginning to Clarify the Truth in Person
One day not long after, I finally clarified the truth to an elderly woman, who was cooling off by the roadside, and successfully persuaded her to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations. This increased my confidence and opened up the door to truth-clarification for me.
I then continued to put in the effort and discovered that there were many people, who were waiting for the bus at the bus stop. While waiting for the bus, I can easily strike up a casual conversation with a stranger and gradually enter into the main topic. After the person understood what I told him, he would be ready to quit the CCP.
In addition to that, when I go to the market to buy things, I can also talk with more strangers about price trends. This could also successfully lead the conversation into quitting the CCP too. Gradually, I moved past these formalities. If I met someone as I walked on the streets, I could also clarify the truth to them. When I took the public bus, I greeted the people sitting next to me, and that could also lead on to truth-clarification.
Overcoming Challenges and Avoiding a Dangerous Situation
It slowly became natural to clarify the truth. In order to pull the Chinese people back to traditional culture from the twisted notion of not believing in the divine, and help them understand the truth amid my fear, I can only depend on Dafa and righteous thoughts. I have also met people who ignored me, wanted to lose their temper, shouted loudly at me, and used foul language.
Someone even asked me, “Do you have a pension? Who gives you your pension?” Before I could reply, he threw me another sentence, “No conscience.” Then, he left in anger. When such situations happened, I was not discouraged. I just continued to do what Master asked us to do.
There were also times when I accidentally stumbled upon a police officer. Once, there were three young people, who were in their 20s, playing with beverage bottles. I thought that they were university students who were on summer break, so I went up to clarify the truth to them. I asked them if they knew about quitting the CCP to secure peace and safety. They all looked at me, stunned. I explained that that meant to quit the CCP if they had joined any of the youth organizations.
Just then, one of them suddenly stood up and walked away, leaving the other two laughing as they watched me speak. I asked them for their surname but they did not reply. I gave them amulets and they accepted. But when I asked them if they would like to quit, they did not make a sound. During the process, I kept feeling that something was not right, and the practitioner beside me also discovered something, tugging at me to leave quickly.
When we reached somewhere where there were fewer people, the practitioner told me that the first young man who left early, went to the back to make a phone call. At that moment, I was shocked. When I turned back to take a look, the young people all boarded a black car.
When we walked towards the east, their car would stop at the intersection in the east and watch us. When we walked towards the south, their car would stop at the intersection in the south and watch us. I knew clearly that they could not persecute Dafa practitioners, so this was a result of my fear. We are here to save people, so what is there to be scared of? Later, with Master’s protection, we entered a residential district and finally got rid of them.
Kind-Hearted People Express Gratitude
On the path of truth-clarification, although there may be some dangerous experiences, there are more cases of people who understood the truth, and many kind people expressed their recognition and sympathy after they heard how the CCP persecute practitioners. Some of them were even grateful to me, and seemed quite moved.
Once, I was sitting on the long bench at the bus stop, waiting for the bus. A lady walked over in a hurry, twisted her ankle and nearly fell. I quickly went up to help her. She said that she had just twisted her ankle but she was fine. I asked her to sit on the bench to rest for a while. I then asked her if anyone told her about quitting the CCP to maintain peace and safety. She replied that she had not heard of that before, so I told her what it meant and said, “Let me give you an auspicious alias to quit.” I asked her for her surname and she told me it was Zhang. I then gave her the pen name Zhang Tianyuan, since we had affinity to meet each other. If not we would not have met today.” She happily accepted the name with smiling eyes and kept looking at me. I then gave her a keychain, with the words “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” printed on it and a truth-clarifying weekly publication. I also asked her to take a good look at the contents after she returned home, and she happily accepted them all.
Just then, another elderly woman came over to sit on the bench and she kept saying that she was tired. I quickly moved towards the right to make space for her to sit. After chatting a bit with her, I took out an amulet and told her to recite “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” often, because that would not only help her encounter good fortune, but also enjoy health and longevity. I asked her for her age and she said that she was 84 years old. I continued that in that case she must be a kind person, because her kindness must have helped her accumulate joy, so that she could live to such a ripe age and still enjoy good health.
I asked her if she had joined the CCP and its organizations and she replied yes. So I asked her to let me help her quit all of them and she agreed. Following that, I took out a truth-clarifying weekly publication, a keychain and an amulet and gave them to her, telling her to recite the phrase written on the amulet frequently, as that would benefit her greatly. She accepted my kind intentions and thanked me once again! Just as I finished saying that, the bus that I was waiting for, came and I quickly bid her goodbye and boarded the bus. Now, I realized that everyone that I meet were predestined people. No matter whether they quit the CCP or not, I must tell them the life-saving message about quitting the CCP, so that they will have the chancge to choose. Thank you, Master, for your benevolent salvation. I can only cultivate more diligently, do well in the three things and save more people to express my gratitude to Master.
