(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Hu Shengchun’s Prison Term Extended by Two Years
Ms. Hu Shenchun is serving an unknown term at the Heilongjiang Province Women’s Prison and was scheduled to be released in October 2026. As she refused to write a statement to renounce Falun Gong, the prison authorities extended her term by two years. This was to “add back” the two-year term reduction she had received during an earlier prison sentence after being forced to write a renunciation statement.
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Shujie’s Third Hearing Scheduled
Ms. Liu Shujie’s third hearing by the Ganjingzi District Court was scheduled for June 17, 2026.
3. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Feng Yanjun Detained
Mr. Feng Yanjun was arrested on June 9, 2026, by the Xincheng District Domestic Security Division officers. They ransacked his home, confiscated his computers, printers, and Falun Gong books. His family was notified to pick up his case document at the Changlezhonglu Police Station on June 11, and learned that he had been admitted to the Xi’an City Detention Center.
4. [Linquan County, Anhui Province] Ms. Ji Jie Arrested
Ms. Ji Jie was arrested in early June 2026.
5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Xingtian Arrested
Mr. Wang Xingtian was arrested at his rental apartment in early June 2026. His wife, Ms. Wu Jiying was forced into displacement to hide from the police.
6. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Wang Ping and Ms. Liu Fengxia were arrested at Ms. Wang’s home on April 20, 2026, by Wang Ping of the Pingdu City Police Department and Xu Xiaobin of the Fengtai Police Station. The officers ransacked both practitioners’ homes and seized their Falun Gong books and Ms. Wang’s two computers. Ms. Wang and Ms. Liu were detained for 20 and 10 days, respectively.
Mr. Wang Zhenmin and Ms. Ding Shuzhi, in their 70s, were arrested on April 21, 2026. They were both given 10 days' detention, which was not enforced because of their age.
7. [Chicheng County, Hebei Province] Ms. Che Guihua Arrested
Ms. Che Guihua was arrested on June 13, 2026, by four Domestic Security Division officers. They claimed that she was reported for giving out flash drives containing Falun Gong information. They ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, printouts, and window decorations. She was taken to the domestic security division for interrogation before she was released.
8. [Chongqing] Ms. Jiang Chengliang Tried
Ms. Jiang Chengliang, 83, was reported for distributing Falun Gong flyers in 2024. The police searched her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, media players, computers, and other items. She was repeatedly harassed thereafter. The police made several attempts to detain her, but failed due to her dangerously high blood pressure.
Ms. Jiang was tried in early 2026 and on May 12, 2026. The outcome of the trial is unclear.
9. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms Liu Jinxiang Forced to Leave Away from Home for Four Years and Counting
Ms. Liu Jinxiang was arrested at home on January 21, 2022. The police and community clerks broke into her place and confiscated her cell phone, notebook computer, two printers, and other items. The next day, the police ransacked the homes of her daughter and a friend. She was released the next night. To avoid further persecution, she has been forced to live away from home since. Unable to find her, the police repeatedly harassed her family.
10. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Chen Guangchang Barred from Legal Practice
Mr. Chen Guangchang had his lawyer’s license suspended in 2013 for practicing Falun Gong. He and his wife moved to Yulin City, Shaanxi Province, to make a living. He applied for a new license in 2025. The Yulin City Justice Bureau initially indicated that they would approve his application, but reversed the decision after learning that he was a Falun Gong practitioner.
11. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Xiaoxia Detained
Ms. Liu Xiaoxia was arrested on June 10, 2026, by the Shahekou District Police Department officers. Her family learned on June 12 that she had been put into the Dalian City Detention Center. The police indicated that they were submitting her case to the local procuratorate and the Falun Gong materials confiscated from her home were enough to get her sentenced to prison.
