(Minghui.org) My mother began practicing Falun Dafa before 1999, when I was still a child. I studied the Fa with her and even helped distribute truth-clarification materials. From an early age, Dafa took root deeply in my heart.

Now that I have my own family and children, my mother often encourages me to study the Fa.

Recently, my mother joined a Fa study group where fellow practitioners have been studying Master’s book Essentials for Further Advancement. I noticed that her resentment for my father has lessened. I also observed a significant change in her overall state: she now genuinely enjoys her cultivation practice.

Inspired by her example, I joined her in Fa study, which has had a profound impact on me. I would like to share some of my understandings.

Studying Master’s article “A Brief Explanation of Shan” in Essentials for Further Advancement taught me that Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance encompasses everything. Everything in the human world contains the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

People face hardships when they stray from the right path. Tribulations arise because of karma. Enduring and overcoming these trials is painful and can deeply affect a person. When one’s demonic nature suppresses one’s true self, the harshest words and actions can emerge. It is precisely at such moments that we need to realize that kindness is our real nature, while anger, resentment, and irritability originate from our demonic side rather than our true selves.

I have learned to distinguish between my true self and my false self: the true self is good, while the false self is evil.

Cultivation involves eliminating karma, which is why suffering exists. I realize I must firmly hold to my own kindness. I once believed that remaining silent was an act of kindness, but now I understand that Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is also embodied in forbearance. If my heart is kind, I should express that kindness rather than holding it back. By putting myself in others’ shoes, offering words of encouragement, acknowledging their efforts, and communicating sincerely, I can demonstrate goodwill and compassion. These are also expressions of kindness.

I used to believe that, whether at work or in daily life, everyone acted selfishly, and that living in this fast-paced society was exhausting. But after reading “A Brief Explanation of Shan,” I realized that my heart has truly become kind, and the world has started to appear much more beautiful in my eyes.

The kindness we express brings warmth to those around us. Being mindful of our speech doesn’t mean remaining silent, rather, it means speaking kind and uplifting words. Kindness needs a vehicle through which it can be expressed. It may take the form of material assistance, but it can also be conveyed through warm and thoughtful words.

I have felt Master’s compassionate power, and I realize I should spread kindness instead of complaints. Words themselves can allow others to feel compassion and warmth.

Some people believe that being kind means allowing others to take advantage of you. When you choose to not retaliate when bullied or insulted, many people will call you foolish. However, as practitioners, we understand that suffering a loss carries a blessing. A village filled with kindness will enjoy peace, while a village burdened by heavy karma will encounter great misfortune.

I strive to be a messenger of the divine, using kindness to positively influence those around me. Through my words and actions, I hope to help others distinguish right from wrong and good from evil. By clarifying the truth to others, I seek to prevent others from committing crimes against Dafa. Saving sentient beings is my sacred mission.

I no longer feel anxious about persuading my husband to practice Falun Dafa, nor do I dwell on concerns such as my children being young or the pressures of daily life. Instead, I focus on helping my family genuinely experience the goodness of Falun Dafa, and know that Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good. Positive emotions are contagious, the power of kindness brings joy and happiness to others. I truly feel the joy that comes with studying the Fa.

Thank you Master!

Thank you fellow practitioners!
