(Minghui.org) I would like to share with fellow practitioners two stories from my cultivation journey. Please kindly point out anything not consistent with the Fa.
Clarify the Truth to 610 Office Personnel
Several practitioners were studying the Fa together at my home one afternoon in the fall of 2000. Suddenly, security personnel from the factory where I worked arrived and ordered me to go to the factory office. When I arrived, I found myself surrounded by two domestic security police officers, the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) secretary of the Industrial Bureau, the factory director and deputy director, and several security guards. I was also introduced to personnel from the local 610 Office, including the head.
As soon as I sat down, they questioned me as to why I continued to practice Falun Dafa, despite the government’s ban. I told them about the illnesses I suffered before I began cultivating, including bronchitis, lung disease, pharyngitis, duodenitis, gastritis, enteritis, arthritis, septicemia, and back pain. After I began practicing Falun Dafa, I was cured of all of them. I was then a joyful, healthy person, completely free of illness.
I explained that while I regained my health, my moral standard also improved. For example, after I went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa in 1999, I was illegally sentenced for 37 days and was released just a few days before the Chinese New Year. The very next morning at 6 a.m., I voluntarily went to clean the public area of the factory. The Party secretary of the factory saw me and asked when I was released. I told him that it was just the previous night. He said, “You came so early to volunteer and clean up.” He wanted to say more but hesitated, clearly afraid of the pressure from the CCP.
I told the officials in the room, “I also hired workers and trucks at my own expense to clean up the garbage in the factory dormitory. It took three truckloads to clean it up. I did this because Falun Dafa is great and is righteous. That is the reason I practice Falun Dafa.”
Furthermore, I told them I had already submitted the application to quit the CCP, as the Party does not allow its members to practice Falun Dafa. However, the local CCP organization refused to process my application. I argued that the CCP’s Constitution explicitly states that joining and withdrawing are entirely voluntary. The CCP official could not refute my point.
I continued telling them, “Falun Dafa is the most righteous Fa and we practitioners cultivate ourselves according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. We gain a healthy body and high moral standards. We always think of others first for everything. Anyone is free to come and go. There is no roster, no fees, no leader, no offices, and no administrative regulations. It is all about truly cultivating oneself and improving one’s moral character. Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa, and there is nothing evil about it at all.”
Hearing this, the officials stopped asking questions. However, the deputy head of the domestic security police took out handcuffs and started playing with them, seemingly trying to intimidate me. I completely ignored him. In the end, they told me I could go home. I picked up all the cigarette butts they threw on the floor and took them away with me.
Later, an insider told me that these officials intended to arrest me that day, but I was so convincing that they decided against it. For a long time, I always thought I was the one who “battled the demons with my tongue” and was very proud of myself. Then I read Master’s new article,
“While saving you, your Teacher is also bearing sins and karma for you, and is trying everything to offset them. The fact is you owe your Teacher.” (“Stay Out of Danger”)
It was then I realized that I had too many human notions, incorrectly thinking the outcome was due to my capability. In reality, Master bears the karma for me and tries everything to eliminate my karma, so that I could get through the tribulations safely. All I need to do is have righteous thoughts and act in accordance with the Fa.
Clarifying the Truth to Police Officers and Officials
Because my husband and I practice Falun Dafa and have been to Beijing to appeal for Dafa, we were both blacklisted by the CCP. In addition, our registered residences are different from each other, and is also not where we currently reside. It involved three local police stations and domestic security offices. The police frequently came to our home to check on us or even harass us. On the positive side, it increased the opportunities for us to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to them.
Because my husband had received several ineffective calls from the local police station, the station director decided to visit in person to see what kind of person he was.
One day in July 2024, we were having lunch at home when someone knocked loudly on the door. When I opened it, a group of officials rushed inside. My husband recognized officer Xiao, who was from his registered residential area and in charge of persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners.
Xiao introduced all the officials with him, including the deputy Party secretary of the town, directors of the police stations from our registered area and from where we lived, as well as the community Party secretary, director, and head of the property security team. In total, eight people filled our living room.
Xiao said, “We are here to check on you. This time, the Provincial Political and Legal Affairs Committee asked all of you to sign the statement promising that you will not practice Falun Dafa anymore. In exchange, we will set you free and won’t bother you anymore.” He continued saying that we were not allowed to practice Falun Dafa and repeated the CCP’s defamatory words against the practice. My husband began to reason with him.
I thought about how best to clarify the truth to all the people there. I decided to talk from two aspects: first, our positive changes after practicing Falun Dafa; and second, Falun Dafa being the most righteous cultivation practice and how it is completely legal to practice it. Meanwhile, I asked Master to strengthen me. Then I turned to the deputy Party secretary and police station director sitting next to me, and said, “Can I say a few words?” They agreed that I could.
I started with how I used to be plagued with illnesses, to the point that my salary was not enough to cover the medical costs. Then I told them that after I began practicing Dafa and followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, all my illnesses disappeared. In addition, I explained how Dafa taught me to always think of others first. I continued, “I am 76 years old, still working for a top 100 company in China as a purchaser for 10 years. My accounting is completely transparent and I never took a penny in kickbacks like many other purchasers do. I am also responsible for the company’s technology. I have tried to retire three times, but was invited back each time. The company chairman even wept and begged me to stay. He told me that it was not easy to have someone like me, as Falun Dafa practitioners are honest and cares nothing about fame or fortune.”
I then turned to the legal aspects, focusing on Notice No. 39 from the Ministry of Public Security’s document in 2000, as well as documents from the General Office of the Central Committee and State Council, which identified several cult organizations, none of which included Falun Dafa. I also pointed out Notice No. 50 from the General Administration of Press and Publication of the State Council issued on December 29, 2010, which officially lifted the ban on Falun Dafa books, making them completely legal. I explained that since the books are legal, all relevant materials of telling the truth about Falun Dafa are also legal. Throughout my speech, no one interrupted and everyone was very focused on my words.
In the end, the director of the police station pointed to a pile of certificates on my cabinet and asked what they were. I told him they were the achievement awards I earned. He was surprised there were so many. I told him I had been rated as a top producer of the company continuously since 2012. He smiled, stood up, and said, “It’s time for us to leave. Please take care of yourself.” Everyone all stood up, waved goodbye, and apologized for troubling me.
This experience truly taught me that as long as we have Dafa firmly in our hearts, clarifying the truth becomes very powerful. The CCP personnel arrived at our home with hostility and resentment, but left with smiles and an understanding of the facts. Since then, no one has come to harass us again.
