(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 23 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Dashiqiao City, Liaoning Province] Eight Practitioners Facing Trial
Eight practitioners and one non-practitioner were arrested on November 25, 2025. The arrested practitioners included Zhang Yuzhen, Gong Suyuan, Li Xiuying, Wang Jun, Wang Zhaomin, Xing Dongmei, Xing Chun’e, and Yang Qiang. The non-practitioner, Zhang Bo, is a practitioner’s family member. The men have been detained in the Dashiqiao City Detention Center, and the women at the Yingkou City Detention Center. Their cases were recently submitted to the Zhanqian District Court and the judge indicated that a hearing would be held in late June 2026.
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Wenxin in Critical Condition During Detention
Mr. Zhang Wenxin was arrested at home on June 15, 2026, by five plainclothes officers from the Nanshan Police Station. He experienced severe respiratory distress at the police station around 3 a.m. and was taken to the Pulandian District Center Hospital for resuscitation. He remains in the intensive care unit.
3. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Yu’e under Formal Arrest
Ms. Zhang Yu’e’s case was returned to the Huangzhou District Police Department by the local procuratorate around May 2026. The police are still collecting information to frame her.
4. [Cheng’an County, Hebei Province] Ms. Song Gaihuan Detained
Ms. Song Gaihuan, 68, went to Chongqing to attend her son’s wedding with three other family members on May 22, 2026. Because they put up Falun Gong posters in public places on their way there, she was followed and arrested in Chongqing. The Chongqing police went to her home in Chang’an County, Hebei province, and raided the place. Her Falun Gong books and informational materials were confiscated. She was detained for 10 days in Chongqing.
5. [Pulandian City, Liaoning Province] Practitioners Song and Xinxin Arrested
Song and Xinxin (nickname) were arrested at Xinxin’s home by officers from the Nanshan Police Station on June 15, 2026. Song managed to escape a few hours later. Xinxin fell into critical condition and was taken to the Pulandian City Center Hospital for resuscitation. Xinxin’s family had to pay the 20,000-yuan hospital bill.
6. [Wei County, Hebei Province] Ms. Guo Ruiyun and Zhang Shutang Harassed
Ms. Guo Ruiyun was harassed at home on June 9, 2026, by two officers including Tang Yanfei from the Yuanbao Town Police Station. They took photos of her.
The officers then went to harass Zhang Shutang and photographed Zhang’s family members. They returned to Zhang’s home on the evening of June 15, 2026, and took photos of Zhang.
7. [Jiayu County, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Jinxiu Secretly Sentenced
Ms. Chen Jinxiu, 67, was arrested on April 2, 2025, and has been detained ever since. Her family found out in May 2026 that she had been secretly sentenced to prison and is now serving time in Hankou Prison.
8. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Guo Lizhen Detained
Ms. Guo Lizhen was arrested on April 15, 2026. She was first held in a local lockup for 15 days, then transferred to a brainwashing center on May 1.
9. [Pingshan County, Hebei Province] Ms. Gao Shuyun Harassed
Ms. Gao Shuyun was harassed at home by three officers from the Wangpo Township Police Station on the evening of June 8, 2026. They searched every room and took photos without her permission.
10. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Guo Xiujuan Detained
Ms. Guo Xiujuan was arrested by six officers from the Qingdao Road Police Station on June 16, 2026, after she was recorded by surveillance cameras while distributing informational materials about Falun Gong four days earlier. She was given a 15-day detention.
11. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Chongyu Detained
Ms. Wang Changyu was arrested in April 2026 and is currently being held at the Dongli District Detention Center.
12. [Huangshi City, Hubei Province] Ms. Tong Ling Detained
Ms. Tong Ling was arrested at home on June 15, 2026, after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was given 10 days detention in the Fenglieshan Lockup.
