(Minghui.org) The Streets Alive and Parade Day was held in the City of Blacktown, New South Wales, Australia, on May 30, 2026. It is the city’s largest annual community festival. Practitioners participated in the celebration and introduced Falun Dafa to local residents and visitors. Through exercise demonstrations, cultural performances, and conversations with the public, practitioners shared the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance while raising awareness about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) ongoing persecution of practitioners in China. Many attendees stopped to learn more about Falun Dafa and expressed their appreciation for its peaceful message and universal values.

“This Is What I Have Been Looking For”
Rovilyn Toniza and her son went to the Falun Dafa booth. “Last year I saw Falun Dafa and signed up, but because I have a son and family responsibilities, I couldn't come,” she said. “This time I definitely want to learn.”
What touched her most was the peaceful atmosphere surrounding the Falun Dafa stall. “I feel something very strong spiritually,” she said. “I feel peace — peace in my mind. That’s what I’ve been looking for.” She added, “I was looking for you and then I found you here.”
Reflecting on Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, she said they are values that benefit everyone, not just practitioners, “These principles are good for society and good for our minds, bodies, and spirit.”
Rovilyn praised the practitioners’ performances, saying, “I really like the uniforms, the performance was beautiful, and everyone at the stall was so lovely and friendly. Thank you.”
Practicing Falun Dafa Is a Good Thing
Lorraine Skennerton (Minghui.org)
Lorraine Skennerton was among the many visitors who stopped to learn more about Falun Dafa and its guiding principles. Drawn by the colorful displays, peaceful atmosphere, and warm spirit of the event, she was impressed by both the presentation and the values being shared with the public.
As she learned more about Falun Dafa, Lorraine reflected on the importance of its core principles in today’s society. She said that they are values that resonate far beyond any particular practice and are needed more than ever in the modern world.
“People need truth,” she said. “If you’re not truthful, what’s the point? Too many people tell you what they think you want to hear. We need people who are actually going to tell the truth. We need compassion and to care about other people. We also need tolerance; we need to be able to listen to one another, respect one another, and live together peacefully.”
She said that practicing Falun Dafa “is such a good thing. You do the exercises and feel really good. And you feel peaceful. I don’t know why the [CCP] government would want to kill people for good things.
“Chinese people should be free to follow any religion that they want to,” she said. “It’s disgusting that the CCP kills people for their religious beliefs. I’m glad that they can come to Australia where they could practice it openly, and apparently there's other countries and places around the world where they can do that freely, without having to be killed and persecuted for their beliefs.
Linda Camilleri said that she wanted to learn Falun Dafa last year. “I was just following my instincts, walking around, and I saw people doing the meditation. It looked peaceful, and I wanted to learn more,” she said.
She was also touched by the Falun Dafa parade and Tian Guo Marching Band performance, describing it as a joyful experience. “It made me very happy,” she said. “You could really feel the energy — it was powerful.”
