(Minghui.org) Practitioners in Boston gathered outside the American Transplant Congress (ATC) 2026 between June 19 and 24, and told conference attendees about Falun Gong and the ongoing forced organ harvesting crimes of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
A joint annual meeting of the American Society of Transplantation (AST) and the American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS), ATC 2026 was held at the Thomas M. Menino Convention & Exhibition Center between June 20 and 24. As the largest organ transplant meeting in the United States, this year’s congress attracted over 4,000 participants from 53 countries, including transplant surgeons, internists, researchers, organ donation coordinators, pharmacists, nurses, representatives from organ procurement agencies, and members of the healthcare industry.
Falun Gong practitioners stood on the sidewalk outside the venue, held signs and distributed informational materials to passersby about the CCP’s organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners. In addition to reminding people to pay attention to the ongoing organ harvesting atrocities in China, they also appealed to the public to support the US Senate’s S.4009, Falun Gong and Victims of Forced Organ Harvesting Protection Act.

Some attendees said they previously heard about the tragedy through events practitioners held in California, Pennsylvania, and other parts of the US; others said they never heard of it before and were shocked. A man passing by gave practitioners a thumbs-up to show his appreciation. A woman wearing a conference badge told practitioners, “I know about this, and I support you.”
Another woman said she was from a lung support group, and during one session a doctor from China said that China stopped harvesting organs. The woman asked a practitioner if this was true. The practitioner told her that, although China announced a voluntary organ donation system in 2015, data released by the Chinese government raised more questions than answers because it showed that the growth rate of organ transplant cases in China far exceeds the number of organ donations. The US Senate Foreign Relations Committee supported S.4009—the Falun Gong and Victims of Forced Organ Harvesting Protection Act—to address this ongoing atrocity. The woman thanked the practitioner and said she would look into it.
Practitioners also introduced the documentary: Silent Harvest: The Courage to Speak Up produced by the Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH). Through the accounts of numerous medical experts, ethicists, and victims, the film exposes the CCP’s long-standing crimes of harvesting organs from Falun Gong practitioners and other prisoners of conscience.
Some attendees were glad to hear the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee passed S.4009 on June 17 and this legislation will be voted on by the US Senate. If adopted, it will impose sanctions on those involved in forced organ harvesting, including visa and asset restrictions.

Alejandro Centurion, deputy director of DAFOH, hoped more professionals in the transplant field seriously examine the evidence regarding the CCP’s forced organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners. He said the medical community has a responsibility to uphold ethical principles and should not remain silent on such an important issue.
Michael Tsang, a Falun Gong practitioner who participated in the event, said it is important for the attendees of this international transplant conference to learn the facts. By working together, they can help to stop the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong and its crimes of forced organ harvesting.
