(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 24 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

3. [Dashiqiao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Yuzhen Developed Severe Physical Symptoms in Detention Center
4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] More Than Ten Practitioners Arrested, Four Remain Detained in Brainwashing Center
5. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhou Lili Released
6. [Jintang County, Sichuan Province] Ms. He Guofang Arrested
7. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Appeals Court Refuses to Hold Hearing of Ten Practitioners’ Case
1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xing Shuhua Arrested
Ms. Xing Shuhua, in her 70s, was arrested on June 25, 2026.
2. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Second Hearing Scheduled for Six Practitioners
Mr. Xu Zhenguo, Ms. Zhao Shuping, Ms. Xiong Fengyan, Ms. Xiao Xiuhua, Ms. Tang Guiyan, and Ms. Yao Xiurong were arrested on November 28, 2025. Their first hearing was held in the Zunhua City Court on June 4, 2026. The second hearing was scheduled for July 9.
3. [Dashiqiao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Yuzhen Developed Severe Physical Symptoms in Detention Center
Mr. Zhang Yuzhen was arrested on November 25, 2025, by officers from the Dashiqiao City Domestic Security Division and the Yongan Police Station. He was abused while being held in the Dashiqiao City Detention Center, and developed high blood pressure, heart disease, and cerebral infarction. He was taken to the Luhe Hospital on June 23, 2026, when his condition worsened. He was shackled in the hospital bed and watched by four guards around the clock. His family wasn’t allowed to visit him.
Mr. Zhang was scheduled to appear in the Zhanqian District Court on June 27, but the hearing was postponed to July 17 due to his health condition.
4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] More Than Ten Practitioners Arrested, Four Remain Detained in Brainwashing Center
More than ten practitioners were arrested on May 11, 2026, by officers from the Hongshan Police Department, and detained for 10 days. Four of the practitioners, including Yuan and Fu Guoqi, weren’t released after 10 days, but were transferred to the Shizui Brainwashing Center in Wuchang District.
5. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhou Lili Released
Ms. Zhou Lili was arrested on June 26, 2026. She has since been released.
6. [Jintang County, Sichuan Province] Ms. He Guofang Arrested
Ms. He Guofang was arrested on June 2, 2026, when she was talking to people in the Jinshan Market about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was taken to the Jintang County Police Department and released days later.
7. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Appeals Court Refuses to Hold Hearing of Ten Practitioners’ Case
Ten practitioners, including Mr. Wang Nanfang, Mr. Zhou Shuyou, Mr. Liu Haitao, Ms. Lai Chunlian, Mr. Wang Guozhong, Mr. Wang Zexing, Ms. Hu Mingli, Ms. Hu Fengju, Ms. Huang Yuping, and Ms. Li Shuqin, were sentenced to 4.5 to seven years by the Wanghua District Court in April 2026. They appealed with the Fushun City Intermediate Court, which informed the practitioners’ lawyers on June 28 that there wouldn’t be a hearing, and that the lawyers should prepare a written defense statement. The lawyers wrote to the appeals court on July 2, demanding a hearing. It’s unclear whether the court has responded.
