(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in Johor, Malaysia, held a rally at Hutan Bandar Putra Kulai on July 5, 2026, to mark the 27th year of peaceful protest of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong, and to call on the public to help stop the human rights abuse.

On July 20, 1999, the CCP regime launched a nationwide persecution of the spiritual practice, which has led to the deaths of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners.

The Johor event began with addresses read out in Chinese, Malay, and English to introduce Falun Dafa and condemn the CCP’s persecution of practitioners in China.

Although it drizzled at one point during the exercise demonstration, the practitioners remained undeterred and continued with perseverance and focus. Many people visiting the park that day stopped to watch.

Practitioners provided informational materials and clarified the facts about how the CCP suppresses Falun Gong and persecutes practitioners. Many passersby expressed their sympathy and signed the petition calling for an end to the CCP’s state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting.

Candlelight Vigil Commemorates Victims

As night fell, practitioners held a silent vigil at around 7 p.m., holding lotus lanterns, to mourn the practitioners in China who lost their lives due to the persecution. The park appeared exceptionally tranquil and solemn with the gentle illumination of the lanterns. Banners and paintings exposing the persecution were also on display.

Through this event, the practitioners hoped to let more people know about Falun Dafa, awaken their conscience, and work together to end the persecution.

The participants’ ages ranged from 20 to 90, and some practitioners drove a long way to attend the event.

This was the first time that practitioner Yanni had joined a candlelight vigil. She said what touched her most was everyone’s belief and perseverance. They all carried on even though they were tired, and it started to rain.

Even 87-year-old practitioner Nanhua stayed for the entire event and was not put off by the rain. This gave Yanni a deep sense of how pure and unified everyone’s faith in Falun Dafa is.

Yanni said she finally understood the importance of clarifying the truth and having this heartfelt mission.
