(Minghui.org) Minghui.org previously reported on the abuse of a Dalian City, Liaoning Province, woman incarcerated because she practices Falun Gong. This report provides additional information about her.

Ms. Liu Xiaohong, 58, was arrested on November 24, 2020, and sentenced to seven years in early June 2021. She was admitted to the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison at an unknown time. Soon after, on January 30, 2022, the Dalian City Fourth People’s Hospital announced that she was fired.

It was unclear what division of the prison the former nurse was initially assigned to. Minghui.org confirmed that she was re-assigned to the twelfth division on August 30, 2023. This division was specifically designated to target steadfast Falun Gong practitioners. On November 1, 2023, the division held a criticizing meeting to attack Ms. Liu for her faith.

After nearly two months in the twelfth division, Ms. Liu was moved away. She is currently held at team one in the fifth division. Chen Xue is the team lead.

Because she held firm to her faith, Ms. Liu was forced to wear a “red card,” which was reserved for “stubborn” practitioners. She was only allowed to spend 180 yuan per month on daily necessity purchases. She was also ordered to do hard labor. Whenever she refused to comply, she was forced to stand for long hours or deprived of food. The guards also forced her to sleep on the upper bunk to make her life harder.
