(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 10 provinces, where at least 24 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Tu Qiwei Detained
Ms. Tu Qiwei, in her 70s, was arrested on June 3, 2026. She was issued a formal arrest warrant on July 10, 2026.
2. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Geng Caixia Detained
Ms. Geng Caixia, a retired teacher, was arrested by Xijiatao Township Police Station officers on July 8, 2026. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her photo of Falun Gong’s founder and her Falun Gong books. She is being held in the Tangshan City First Detention Center.
3. [Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Xu Donggan Tried, Mr. Cao Fulin Missing
Ms. Xu Donggan, who has been held in the Dafeng District Detention Center, was tried in the Dafeng District Court on April 29, 2026. The court didn’t inform her family of the hearing until it had already started.
Mr. Cao Fulin was arrested by Xianfeng Police Station officers in March 2026. His whereabouts remain unknown.
4. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Fu Dongxiu Arrested
Ms. Fu Dongxiu, 81, was arrested at home by officers from the Dongmaoling Police Station and Lou District Police Department on July 3, 2026. They took her and her son to the Dongmaoling Police Station and showed them a blurry video of someone handing out Falun Gong informational materials on a bus on May 30, 2026.
The police then took Ms. Fu and her son to the Baishiling Police Station and showed them the same video. Ms. Fu denied that she was the person in the video, but the police still ordered her to sign some documents. When she refused, her son signed them on her behalf. They were then released.
5. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zheng Lijie Detained
Ms. Zheng Lijie was arrested in August 2024 and sentenced to three years in prison in November 2024. Due to her poor health, she wasn’t required to start serving time immediately. Two officers from the Xinyuan Police Station arrested her at home on the evening of July 8, 2026, and took her into custody.
6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Zhou Wei Arrested
Zhou Wei was arrested by four officers from the Zhanqian Police Station on July 6, 2026, while withdrawing cash from a bank. After being taken to the police station, Zhou had a medical emergency and was taken to a hospital. The police continued to harassed Zhou after he or she was released.
7. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Six Practitioners Tried
Mr. Xu Zhenguo, Ms. Zhao Shuping, Ms. Xiong Fengyan, Ms. Xia Xiuhua, Ms. Tang Guiyan, and Ms. Yao Xiurong, were arrested on October 28, 2025. They were
tried in the Zunhua District Court on June 4 and July 9.
8. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Liangliang Arrested
Ms. Wang Liangliang was arrested at home on January 16, 2026. The police confiscated 8,000 yuan in cash from her. They eventually returned 6,900 yuan, but withheld the 1,100-yuan in bills with Falun Gong messages printed on them.
9. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Bingfang Detained
Ms. Liu Bingfang was sentenced to six months in prison on June 16, 2026. She was recently transferred from the Dongying City Detention Center to the Shandong Province Prison Women’s Prison. She has developed high blood pressure and tachycardia due to abuse in custody.
10. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ji Wenjie Detained
Ms. Ji Wenjie was arrested by Nanshan Road Police Station officers on May 26, 2026, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked. She has been held at the Fushan Detention Center ever since. Her family is not allowed to visit her.
11. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yang Lichun Facing Trial
Ms. Yang Lichun was indicted on July 1, 2026, and is now facing trial in the Lianshan District Court.
12. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Tang Zhiwei and His Wife Ms. Liu Xuemei Lost Appeals Against Wrongful Prison Terms
Mr. Tang Zhiwei and his wife, Ms. Liu Xuemei, were arrested on October 12, 2025, after being reported for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. They were tried in the Maixian District Court on March 24, 2026, and sentenced to eight years each and collectively fined 120,000 yuan. They appealed with the Meizhou City Intermediate Court, which ruled to uphold their original verdicts in early July 2026.
13. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhao Jinlan Released from Prison
Ms. Zhao Jinlan was released on May 9, 2026, after serving three years in prison.
14. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Xu Zhuo Detained
Mr. Xu Zhuo was arrested in early July 2026 for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. He was given 15 days in the Zhangjiagou Lockup.
15. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zheng Lijuan Arrested
Ms. Zheng Lijuan was arrested at home by three officers from the Longtian Police Station on the evening of July 8, 2026, after being reported for talking to several students about Falun Gong. The police ransacked her home and confiscated 51 Falun Gong books, calendars, and other Falun Gong materials.
16. [Hengyang City, Hunan Province] Mr. Dai Guohe and His Daughter Dai Juan Arrested
Mr. Dai Guohe was arrested at an unknown time. His daughter, Ms. Dai Juan, was arrested at work on July 3, 2026. Their home was ransacked by officers from the Zhenxiang District Police Department.
17. [Liquan County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Cao Yuemei Harassed
Even though Ms. Cao Yuemei, an 86-year-old retired teacher, was incapacitated, three officers from the Chengguan Police Station harassed her at home on June 23, 2026, and ordered her family to report any practitioner who came to visit her.
18. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Wenjie Released from Prison
Ms. Wang Wenjie was released on June 26, 2026, after serving three years and four months in prison.
19. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Luo Meiling Under Long Term Surveillance
Ms. Luo Meiling has been under long term surveillance, including stalking, wiretapping, and videotaping, by officers from the Jiaotan Village Committee and Jiulong Police Station.
20. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Kan Shimei Harassed
Ms. Kan Shimei was harassed at work on July 2, 2026, by Qi Chunlei, chief of the Yedian Town Police Station. They took photos of her and intimidated her.
