(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners held peaceful protests on July 20, 2026, in front the Chinese Consulates in Fukuoka and Nagasaki. They read statements in both Chinese and Japanese, and called on the international community to help end the 27-year-long persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The statements also exposed the CCP’s escalating recent transnational repression.
The practitioners displayed banners and posters and told passersby about Falun Gong and the CCP’s serious human rights violations against practitioners, including illegal detention, torture, brainwashing, and forced organ harvesting, which has gone on for decades. They mourned the practitioners who were persecuted to death for upholding their faith, and urged people to see through the CCP’s vicious nature and work together to end the brutality.

Ms. Nakamoto said her mind and body improved after she began practicing Falun Gong. She was deeply attracted by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance when she attended a Falun Gong workshop 23 years ago.
“I’m now 85 years old. Before I practiced Falun Gong, I felt lost, did not know the meaning of life, and I had many questions. After I began practicing I found direction in life, and I’m full of confidence for the future,” she said. “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance have become my guiding principles when I interact with people, and show me how to be a good person.”
Ms. Nakamoto said she’s participated in activities in front of the Chinese Consulate for more than 20 years. “The CCP’s suppression of Falun Gong has never stopped, and numerous practitioners and their families have suffered greatly as a result,” she continued.
Ms. Nakamoto emphasized that regardless of the weather, practitioners continue to tell people about Falun Gong and the persecution in front of the Chinese Consulate, “We are here to tell the world that Falun Gong practitioners committed no crimes, but they are still persecuted,” she said.
“On this July 20th, we not only call for an immediate end to this 27-year-long persecution, but also mourn those fellow practitioners who have died in the persecution. They and their families have suffered miserably,” Ms. Nakamoto said. “We hope that all sectors of Japanese society pay attention to this human rights disaster and work together to end the persecution as soon as possible.”
