(Minghui.org) Parades were held in cities across Canada to celebrate the 159th annual Canada Day on July 1, 2026. Falun Dafa practitioners were invited to participate in the parade and celebrations in Aurora, Ontario.

The temperature was nearly 40 degrees Celsius (104 F) that day, yet crowds still enthusiastically lined the parade route. The parade began at 10 in the morning. People waved and cheered as the Tian Guo Marching Band marched past with their stirring music.

Janet, a resident of Aurora, watched the parade with her family. When the Tian Guo Marching Band approached, she said, “That band plays so well! The music sounds very nice, I really enjoy it.”
A Dafa practitioner introduced the background of the band to her and told her that the members were all Falun Dafa practitioners. Janet said Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are very good, and she was happy to accept an informational flyer and learn more about Falun Dafa.

Tina, another spectator, asked a practitioner about the Tian Guo Marching Band. She explained she’d heard their music before, but didn’t know the name of the band until now. “I really enjoyed it. Their performance was excellent,” she said.
When Tina learned that the members of the band were all Falun Dafa practitioners who follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, she said those principles were commendable.

When the band marched past, Brad and Vanessa happily waved to show their support. Brad said some band members waved back at him, “The timing was great, we are so lucky.” They accepted a flyer from a practitioner, and said that this was their first time to see the band perform. “The music was wonderful, and the band members’ uniforms are very unique,” said Brad.

Neil said he enjoyed the music played by the Tian Guo Marching Band. He’s 90 years old and has watched the Canada Day Parade for 54 years. When he learned that the members of the band were from Toronto, he said he was once a firefighter in Toronto. He praised Falun Dafa’s principles.
Anita Gallo said, “This is such an impressive marching band. It is amazing to see such a large formation in the Canada Day parade. The band members’ uniforms are impressive.” She thanked the practitioner after receiving a flyer, and said she agreed with Falun Dafa’s guiding principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.
