1. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Guo Zhiping Facing Trial
Ms. Guo Zhiping is scheduled to appear in the Gaoyang County Court on July 9, 2026.
2. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Jia Fengxian Wins a Case of Pension Suspension
Ms. Jia Fengxian, in her 60s, was sued by the local Social Security Center when she refused to return 480,000 yuan in pension benefits that the agency issued to her, but is now insisting that she give back, because she served a seven-month prison term for practicing Falun Gong. She appeared in the Zhuozhou City Court on June 9, 2026. The lawyer representing the Social Security Center indicated that they were working to seize some of her family’s real estate to pay for her pension “debt.”
On June 25, 2026, Ms. Jia was notified by the court that the case had been ruled in her favor and that the Social Security Center has ten days to appeal the decision.
3. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Deng Yan Arrested
Ms. Deng Yan, 50, was arrested at her shop by several plainclothes officers on June 25, 2026. The police searched her room and found a Falun Gong book. They also ransacked her parents’ home that night.
4. [Beijing] Mr. Gu Junliang and His Wife Ms. Zhan Liping Detained
Mr. Gu Junliang and his wife, Ms. Zhan Liping, were arrested at home on June 15, 2026, after being reported by a taxi driver for talking to him about Falun Gong. Their home was ransacked. They have been detained since.
5. [Xishui County, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Guixiang Detained
Ms. Zhang Guixiang was arrested by Qingquan Police Station officers on June 4, 2026, after being reported for putting up stickers bearing Falun Gong information. She was held at the Xishui County Lockup for 15 days and released on June 19.
6. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Jiang Yufeng Detained
Ms. Jiang Yufeng, 74, was arrested on the evening of June 9, 2026. She is currently held at the Tangshan City First Detention Center.
7. [Pingshan County, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Xiuzhen Arrested
Ms. Li Xiuzhen was arrested at home on June 9, 2026, by officers from the Chengguan Police Station and the Pingshan County Police Department. Her home was ransacked. The police confiscated her Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, a computer, and a printer. Ms. Li was interrogated at the police department and released in the evening.
