(Minghui.org) Practitioners held activities in Regensburg’s city center on August 8, 2026, to tell people about Falun Gong and the ongoing persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). They set up a booth, distributed flyers at Neupfarrplatz, and explained how the CCP persecutes practitioners, including removing their organs while they are alive. Many passersby signed a petition calling for an end to the atrocities.

After hearing how Falun Gong is persecuted, many people signed petitions to end the CCP’s human rights abuses.
As the fourth-largest city in the State of Bavaria and the biggest medieval city north of the Alps, Regensburg is one of the top tourist destinations in the region. A surgeon who transplanted organs for 27 years said he hadn’t previously heard of the CCP’s forced organ harvesting, and he wished to know more.
A practitioner showed him independent investigations conducted by legal experts on this issue, including Canadian human rights lawyer David Matas and former Canadian Secretary of State (Asia-Pacific) David Kilgour. The surgeon accepted the materials and said he would look into this further.
A Regensburg resident said he previously worked in Italy and his Chinese coworkers were very honest. He was surprised to hear about the suppression in China, so he talked with a practitioner and asked several questions. The practitioner explained that Falun Gong is a meditation system and practitioners live by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. About 100 million people worldwide practice and enjoy better health, and their moral character has improved.
But the totalitarian CCP wants to control people’s minds and started the persecution in 1999. The resident said this suppression of faith is unacceptable, and he signed a petition to help practitioners.
Three young men stopped at the booth to learn what was going on. Upon hearing how practitioners were detained and tortured for their faith, they were shocked and asked several questions. One of them told the practitioner, “Thank you for what you have done here.”
Two people talked with a practitioner about the CCP’s brutality against Falun Gong. After hearing the harsh mistreatment practitioners suffered for their belief, they signed a petition hoping to end the atrocities. They also accepted lotus flowers from a practitioner, who explained that the flower represents purity.
