(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners held rallies and marches in Frankfurt on August 7 and 8, 2026. They introduced Falun Gong and raised awareness of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of their belief, including China’s state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting of prisoners of conscience.
Oliver Stirböck, Member of the Hessian State Parliament of Free Democratic Party (FDP), sent a letter to express solidarity with persecuted practitioners.

The letter reads, “We must not accept the persecution of people because of their faith, their convictions, or their peaceful advocacy for freedom. We must not accept people being surveilled, intimidated, imprisoned, mistreated, and deprived of their livelihoods. And we must not accept a communist regime attempting to control not only people’s actions but also their thoughts and beliefs.
“Freedom of religion and conscience are not privileges granted by the state; they are inalienable human rights. Every individual must be free to hold their own beliefs, speak their mind, and peacefully stand up for their convictions.
“The Chinese Communist Party cannot tolerate the existence of any truth, conviction, or moral authority other than its own. Any deviation from the Party’s will is viewed as a threat. It is precisely here that the system’s true weakness is revealed. A regime that fears even peaceful believers is not strong; it is insecure and contemptuous of human dignity.
“This persecution does not stop at China’s borders. Here in Germany and across Europe, the CCP attempts to intimidate critics, pressure exile communities, and control public discourse through propaganda, disinformation, and undue influence. Anyone seeking refuge from this regime in Germany must be able to feel truly safe here.
“We must therefore become more resilient. Economic interests must never be a reason to turn a blind eye to human rights violations. Those who remain silent for the sake of business deals while people are persecuted and tortured are acting not realistically, but shortsightedly. Freedom, human dignity, and the rule of law are not matters of secondary importance. They are the foundation of every free society. We must stop viewing the Communist Party merely as just another autocratic ruler. We must see it for what it is: a threat to freedom worldwide.
“Your rally brings public attention to matters that the Chinese Communist Party seeks to conceal—specifically, the suffering of its victims. You give a voice to those whom others wish to silence. You demonstrate that intimidation and oppression will not go unchallenged.
“For this, I offer you my sincere thanks, my appreciation, and my solidarity.
“I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to address you at this rally. I wish you continued strength, success, and perseverance in your commitment to religious freedom, human dignity, and liberty.
“Rest assured: I stand firmly by your side.”
