(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 14 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Hongmei and Ms. Liu Shuzhen Face Trial
2. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Du Likun Facing Trial
3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zou Benxu Detained
4. [Shahe City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xie Dehua Arrested
5. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Three Practitioners Harassed
6. [Longyao County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Chaoli Arrested
7. [Julu County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Shushuang Arrested
8. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Wensu Arrested
9. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wu Guiqing Detained
10. [Jingmen City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Guiqin Arrested
11. [Xingyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Su Yingying Detained
1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Hongmei and Ms. Liu Shuzhen Face Trial
Ms. Li Hongmei and Ms. Liu Shuzhen were scheduled to appear in the Acheng District Court for the fourth time on August 27, 2026.
2. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Du Likun Facing Trial
Ms. Du Likun was scheduled to stand trial at the Feixiang District Court on September 1, 2026.
3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zou Benxu Detained
Mr. Zou Benxu was arrested while distributing informational materials about Falun Gong around 5 a.m. on August 3, 2026. He was first given 10 days of administrative detention and then transferred to the Dalian City Detention Center on August 13 under criminal detention.
4. [Shahe City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xie Dehua Arrested
Ms. Xie Dehua was arrested by officers from the Shahe City Domestic Security Division on the evening of August 23, 2026.
5. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Three Practitioners Harassed
Ms. Yu, Ms. Wang Fei, and a practitioner named Wei were harassed over the phone in late August 2026. The police either threatened to come to the practitioners’ homes to take photos of them, or ordered them to report to the police station to sign certain documents. None of the practitioners complied.
6. [Longyao County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Chaoli Arrested
Ms. Wang Chaoli was arrested at home on August 26, 2026, after she was recorded putting up information about Falun Gong.
7. [Julu County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Shushuang Arrested
Ms. Zhang Shushuang was arrested at home on August 23, 2026.
8. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Wensu Arrested
Ms. Li Wensu was arrested at home on August 13, 2026, by five officers from the Zhaotuo Road Police Station and the Xinhua District Police Department. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, informational materials about Falun Gong, a laptop and a cell phone.
Ms. Li fainted when being interrogated in the police department. She was taken to a hospital for emergency treatment and then released.
Gao Chunmeng, head of the Zhaotuo Road Police Station, and officer Zhang Huipeng harassed Ms. Li at home the next day on August 14. They ordered her to sign a statement to renounce Falun Gong, threatening to detain her for 10 days if she refused.
The officers returned again on August 20, 2026, still ordering her to sign the statements renouncing Falun Gong. Ms. Li experienced a medical episode and the police then left.
9. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wu Guiqing Detained
Ms. Wu Guiqing was arrested at home by officers from the Nanshan Police Station and the Songshan Police Station on July 31, 2026. She is currently held at the Jinzhou City Women’s Detention Center. Her case has been submitted to the local procuratorate.
10. [Jingmen City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Guiqin Arrested
Ms. Chen Guiqin was arrested by plainclothes officers from the Longquan Police Station when she was talking to people about Falun Gong on July 30, 2026. She was interrogated at the police station for several hours. Her home was ransacked. The police confiscated her computer and informational materials about Falun Gong. They also threatened to suspend her pension.
11. [Xingyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Su Yingying Detained
Ms. Su Yingying was arrested on April 29, 2026, by officers from the Jingcheng Road Police Station and the Xingyang City Domestic Security Division. They ransacked her home and confiscated a printer and a laptop. She was detained for 14 days at the Sunzhai Lockup. She was later suspended from her teaching job.
