1. [Hebi City, Henan Province] Ms. Su Li Faces Trial

8. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Li to Be Released from Prison
1. [Hebi City, Henan Province] Ms. Su Li Faces Trial
Ms. Su Li, 32, was reported to the police while distributing Falun Gong materials in late May 2025. The police ransacked her home and took her to a brainwashing center. While the police later released her on bail, they harassed her at home daily and demanded that she report to them wherever she went. She noticed herself being followed when she went out. Her husband and mother-in-law were ordered to watch her and prevent her from practicing Falun Gong.
Ms. Su was arrested again on May 11, 2026, and taken to the Hebi City Detention Center. She was scheduled to appear in the Hebi City Court on her case on August 25.
2. [Lechang City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Liang Jianjun Sentenced to Prison
Mr. Liang Jianjun, a teacher at Lechang City Vocational High School, was sentenced to three years in prison. He is still held at the Lechang City Detention Center at the time of writing.
3. [Xianghe County, Hebei Province] Ms. Cao Jin’e Missing
Ms. Cao Jin’e has gone missing in late July 2026. Her family suspect that she was taken into custody to serve a three-year term for practicing Falun Gong. The police attempted to detain her on May 1, 2026, but she was denied admission to the detention center due to her high blood pressure.
4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Yang Xiaoshui Officially Arrested
Mr. Yang Xiaoshui, in his 70s, was issued a formal arrest warrant by the Kaiping District Procuratorate on August 7, 2026. He is currently held in Cell 606 of Tangshan City First Detention Center.
5. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Gao Chunlian Files for State Compensation for Decades of Persecution
Ms. Gao Chunlian filed for state compensation for the damages she has suffered during a two-year forced labor camp term and two five-year prison terms. While in custody, she was beaten, shocked with electric batons, deprived of sleep, and force-fed. She was also held at a brainwashing center and fired by her employer.
Ms. Gao mailed her application to the Hebei Province Women’s Prison and the Central-Southern Hebei Areas Procuratorate on July 16, 2026. She received a notice of acceptance from the prison, on August 18, 2026, which stated that a written response would be provided by October 16, 2026.
6. [Jinzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wu Chunran Arrested
Ms. Wu Chunran was followed while talking to people about Falun Gong at Xinyulou Shopping Center on the afternoon of August 19, 2026. She was subsequently arrested and taken to the Shangcheng Police Station.
7. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Zhang Yu Detained
Zhang Yu, a physician, was arrested in July 2026. Zhang has been detained since.
8. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Li to Be Released from Prison
Ms. Li Li is scheduled to complete a three-year prison term on August 31, 2026.
