(Minghui.org) Practitioners recently held two events to introduce Falun Gong and celebrate the more than 460 million Chinese people who renounced their memberships in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) organizations. The activities included a march on September 24 and a rally on September 26. When they heard the CCP has persecuted Falun Gong for 27 years, many passersby signed petitions urging to end the egregious human rights violations.

The rally took place in front of the Sydney Town Hall on September 26 during which the Tian Guo Marching Band performed and practitioners displayed banners.

One of the messages on the banners was: “460 Million Chinese People Have Quit the CCP and Its Affiliated Organizations.” Practitioners displayed banners along the sidewalk of George Street and many passersby read them and listened to the rally.

Several guests spoke at the rally, and thanked Falun Gong practitioners for telling people about the suppression and the vicious nature of the CCP. They said these efforts have led more and more Chinese people toward spiritual awakening.
“A Peaceful Resistance Against Tyranny”

“The withdrawal from the CCP is a spiritual awakening movement for the Chinese people, and it is the largest peaceful, non-violent grassroots movement against the CCP’s tyranny to date,” said Yang Yifei, spokesperson for the Sydney Service Center for Quitting the CCP, at the rally.
The wave of withdrawals began after the book Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was published in2004. “This book exposes the CCP’s rise to power, its evil nature, and its long history of killing. The book is available online free of charge in 16 languages, including English and Chinese,” she continued.
After the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was published Falun Gong practitioners distributed electronic and print versions of the book in China and around the world. People were able to learn the true history of the CCP. By declaring they withdraw from it the Chinese people have freed themselves from the CCP’s indoctrination and control. “In fact, countless Falun Gong practitioners have lost their freedom in China, and many have lost their lives simply for sharing this truth with people,” Yang explained.
She emphasized that the CCP is not China. “More and more awakened Chinese people are choosing to withdraw from the CCP. This is not a political movement; on the contrary, it is a peaceful resistance against tyranny,” Yang added. “It is a call from people who yearn to return to normal life and pursue freedom, security, and democracy.”
Admiration for Falun Gong’s Principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance

Feng Chongyi, a China expert and associate professor of China Studies at the University of Technology Sydney, told Falun Gong practitioners in the rally, “I deeply admire your principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. The CCP has been brutally persecuting you for 27 years. But the only reason you are being persecuted is because you practice Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.”
He said these principles are precious, and it is hard to imagine a person would be persecuted for cherishing such values. “Your courage and perseverance, and your enormous sacrifices, have awakened the whole world, and people have seen through the true face of the CCP and recognized its evil nature,” Feng said.

In his speech, former federal election candidate Ganesh Locke told Falun Gong practitioners that he greatly admired their courage and determination. Practitioners are defending justice and human dignity and resisting the CCP’s evil atrocities. He said it is great that more than 460 million people have now withdrawn from the CCP and its affiliated organizations, “Congratulations, well done!”
“Renouncing the CCP Is Saving the Souls of the Chinese People”

“The movement to renounce the CCP is actually saving the souls of the Chinese people. Today’s tide of renouncing the CCP is like a trend from the divine and it is unstoppable,” said Yuan Hongbing, former professor of law at Beijing University, in his speech.
He said an international organ transplantation conference was held in Sydney a few days before. “Organ transplantation is a huge step forward for science in the field of human medicine. It should have been a blessing for human society,” he said. “However, one of the greatest evils of the CCP’s tyranny is its ability to turn any noble and progressive cause into a crime against humanity. This is exactly the case with organ transplantation.”
The CCP has committed genocide against Falun Gong practitioners. Yuan said one of the most horrific crimes in this case is the large-scale harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners for profit. Under the CCP’s tyrannical rule, organ harvesting has become a criminal industry chain.
“For more than 20 years, Falun Gong practitioners have been constantly exposing the CCP’s crimes against humanity, such as forced organ harvesting, to the world by clarifying the truth. After years of effort, the CCP’s crimes have finally been exposed to the international community,” Yuan continued. “When the CCP’s tyranny is about to collapse, people will surely thank Falun Gong practitioners for exposing the inhumane disaster of forced organ harvesting to human society. It is precisely because Falun Gong practitioners have persisted in clarifying the truth for more than 20 years and exposed the evil nature of the CCP that more and more Chinese people are moving towards spiritual awakening.”
An Act of Upholding Freedom, Conscience, and Personal Dignity
Ji Yichen, a representative of the China Democratic Progressive League, recounted her experience of withdrawing from the Youth League and the Young Pioneers, two junior organizations of the CCP. “I knew about Falun Gong when I was very young, and I also learned about the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance that Falun Gong advocates. In my opinion, sincerity, kindness, and tolerance are all values worthy of respect. However, for many years, Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted because of their beliefs,” he recalled.
Because he had no choice but to join the CCP organizations when he lived in China, he decided to declare his withdrawal from them. “This is the first time I have drawn a line between myself and the CCP’s tyranny according to my own will. It is an adherence to freedom, conscience, and personal dignity,” Ji explained.
In his speech, Mehmet Celepci, secretary and spokesperson for the Australian Uyghur Association, congratulated the Chinese people who chose to withdraw from the CCP and called on more people to renounce their membership in the CCP organizations He said that the CCP is an inhumane system that does not conform to human nature.”
A Grand March
On September 24, Falun Gong practitioners from Sydney, Melbourne, and other places held a grand march in downtown Sydney to celebrate the withdrawal of more than 460 million Chinese people from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations.

Led by the Tian Guo Marching Band, the march started from Belmore Park in downtown Sydney, passed through the central business district, and arrived at Chinatown. The event attracted large crowds to stop and watch and learn about Falun Gong and the persecution. “Your parade is great! Everyone knows about the oppressive environment in China; I really admire your courage,” commented one Chinese resident.

Julia Griffin stopped to watch the practitioners’ parade. She told her friend that if these people did this in China, they would be arrested and disappear. Julia stood by the roadside and kept applauding as her eyes filled with tears.
She said she encouraged Chinese people to withdraw from the CCP, “I feel solidarity with them. I empathize with them. They are very brave. Nothing will change if no one stands up.”
Julia explained that she was 19 when the Tiananmen Square Massacre occurred in China. “I was a student at the time, and we here [in Australia] felt incredibly angry about it,” she continued. “Decades have passed, and the persecution happening in China today is simply unbelievable—people are eliminated just for speaking out, their families are persecuted and killed. There is also organ harvesting, the inability to freely practice religious beliefs, and being imprisoned simply for practicing Falun Gong.”
“I believe in a voice for everybody. Without that, the world is not free,” she added.

Kelly said, “The march was wonderful, very peaceful. The police said it was too peaceful, there was no violence at all. It was a very good, very peaceful protest.”
After watching the parade, another passerby Madison said, “The parade was fantastic, the music was great, and the visuals were amazing. I thought it was incredible!"
She said she was aware of the persecution Falun Gong suffered, adding, “It’s terrible. I believe everyone has the right to their beliefs.
“I hope that Chinese people can access such information and understand what is going on. I hope they can gain true freedom,” Madison said.
