Xie Yu-Feng, a Beijing Falun Dafa practitioner, was detained on January 6, 2000 for his appealing for Falun Gong, an act in accordance with the rights of citizens specified in the Constitution of People's Republic of China. Xie is still in custody up to date. The detention period has far exceeded than that is allowed by law. Over two months, Xie has been on a constant hunger strike and he is injected with glucose by force. His life is severely endangered.
According to reliable sources, Xie Yu-Feng is the anonymous person who donated 180,000 Yuan RMB to support the development of the Northwestern China. His deed has been made headlines in some major newspapers in China. Since July 21, 1999, he has gone to the Complaints Bureau seven times to appeal to the Chinese government for the truth of Falun Dafa. Therefore, he has been detained several times. During his hunger strike, he received inhumane treatment.
We sincerely hope that international human rights organizations can pay attention to this case: a selfless young intellectual is being illegally detained for his lawful appealing.
