My name is xxx and I am ten years old. I started practicing Falun Dafa in October 1996.
Today (March 13, 2000) I went to appeal to the Nation People's Congress for Falun Gong by myself. I headed out about 8 AM, and it already passed 9 AM by the time I got to Tiananmen Square. I asked people for the address of the Appeal Bureau and went to look for it. Although I was able to get to the area, I couldn't find the Appeal Bureau. So, I decided to walk around Tiananmen Square for a while.
Suddenly a plainclothes policeman stopped me and asked, "Who are you and why are you walking around here?" I replied, "I am a practitioner of Falun Gong". The policeman talked with me for a while and tried to persuade me to go home. Then he left. I was a little afraid at the beginning, but then my fear went away. It was already 12 PM by that time, so I went to have lunch.
After lunch I returned to Tiananmen Square at about 1:30 PM and started to walk around again. Around ten after two, I saw two old ladies practicing the second exercise set of Falun Gong. Some policemen ran over and arrested them. I thought: I will stand up for Dafa too, and there is nothing to be afraid of. I approached a policeman and asked him where the Appeal Bureau was. "What are you appealing for?" he asked. "For Falun Dafa." I answered. The police arrested all of us into a police van parked by the Square.
When we reached the police station, I was asked for my name and address. I did not want to tell them. Later, my dad came and took me home.
I think stepping out to protect Falun Dafa is very meaningful. At least I have less fear now. In the future I will go out to protect Falun Dafa again if I have a chance.
