The police department of Shu-nan City has made the decision that those Falun Gong practitioners who have appealed in Beijing once will each receive a sentence of one year of forced labor. Those who have appealed twice will get two years.
Practitioner Ms. Yang Chang-ling, 26 years old, a villager from the Bao-an Village of Bai-qi Town in Shu-nan City, was given a sentence of two years of forced-labor. She has a 3-year-old child at home.
[Mei-shan city, Si-chuan Province] On March 31, about one thousand practitioners held a group practice of Falun Gong exercises in a park. The police came to arrest practitioners as soon as they got the news. About 120 practitioners have already been arrested when the news was posted.
[Hunan Province] Practitioner Mr. Meng Guan-sheng, who graduated from the University of Science and Engineering of Si-chuan in 1999, got arrested after he attempted to report the truth of Falun Gong to the central government in Beijing. His workplace in Gui-zhou Province picked him up and forced him to write a pledge that he would give up Falun Gong. He refused to write the pledge. Therefore, he was removed from his post. Without any financial income, he has to go back to his hometown in Hunan Province.
[Si-chuan Province] Currently, about 100 practitioners in Si-chuan province have been sent to labor camps for forced-labor without trial. 69 female practitioners are serving forced-labor in the Nan-mu-si women labor camp of Zhi-zhong County. Male practitioners are being detained in Xin-hua labor camp of Mian-yang City (phone# 011-86-816-2282293) or Da-yan labor camp of Zhi-yang City (phone# 011-86-832-6790231).
Another dozens of practitioners are serving the forced-labor outside the labor camp. They must report to the local police station every day.
Currently, tens of thousands of practitioners are in custody.
