Note: This year, February 12, 2002 is the Chinese New Year on Lunar Calendar.
As a custom, Chinese will get together on the New Year eve (Da Nian San Shi) to
say goodbye to the old year (Ci Jiu) and welcome the New Year (Ying Xin). The
holidays formally start on the next day, which is the first day of the New Year
(Zheng Yue Chu Yi). The celebration lasts until the fifteen day of the New Year.
Chinese New Year is the biggest holiday for Chinese people and celebrated in
many Asian countries. People will try their best to return home to be with their
families during this special holiday. However in China tens of thousands of
families are broken due to Jiang regime's brutal persecution.
