Since the book Notes Left by Ge An (http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2000/9/8/8293.html) was spread to our area, many fellow practitioners whom I stay in touch with are talking about one issue, i.e. the date when Jiang Zemin is gone will be the end of the persecution and the end of our cultivation during the Fa-rectification period. Some also say that will be the date that our reputation is restored.
From a flyer, I got to know that Notes Left by Ge An is a book of prophecy. So when a fellow practitioner gave me a copy of it, I said that I knew it was for the sake of clarifying the truth to people in the world. I also reminded the fellow practitioner of Teacher's words:
"But these cases are rare lately, because this history has been re-arranged. Many prophecies, for example--no matter whether they are accurate or not regarding the later stage--can shock and frighten the evil, give the world's people hints, and warn and wake up the world's people. So they can have certain positive effects. Dafa disciples can't do things according to some prophecy, though. You should do things according to the Great Law! You should do things according to what Dafa disciples should do! And you shouldn't do things by following something else. Weren't many of the prophecies you used while clarifying the facts things that you assembled for ordinary people to see? You did it to have ordinary people learn from past lessons in history--even ancient people talked about these things--that is, to caution the people of the world. They aren't for Dafa disciples to use as references in their own cultivation! If Dafa disciples hadn't encountered today's persecution I wouldn't have let you dig up those prophecies. You see the rationale, right? Dafa disciples should just do things according to the Great Law. You are creating history, you are creating the future, and anything arranged by anyone else doesn't count. Whatever anyone has seen is from the past and has already changed. Even if a few events happen to be the same, those were only arranged as needed by the overall arrangement, that's all. [Teaching and Explaining the Fa at the Metropolitan New York Fa Conference, 2003]
I would like to remind fellow practitioners: do not become attached to time. Otherwise, the evil will persecute us by taking advantage of our loopholes. I remember that in an experience-sharing article published on Minghui, there was a story like this: A Master gave each of his three disciples a gold bowl and a gold pen. He instructed them to copy scriptures by biting the tips of their tongues and using the blood as ink for 100 days until the Master came to pick them up. The first disciple copies for a few days and feels very painful. When a beauty comes to interfere with him, he goes with the beauty. The second disciple insists on copying until the 100th day. On the morning of the last day, he does not see the Master show up. So he feels resentful and stops copying. The third disciple copies until the 100th day too. When he does not see the Master, he thinks, with the bowl and pen in hand, all I need to do is follow Master's instructions and keep copying. On the morning of the 101st day, the Master comes and picks him up. He is the only one who achieves consummation. The saddest one is the second disciple who does not fully understand what the Master says, and his effort ends up in vain with the attachment of pursuit. What a pity!
We are Dafa disciples during the Fa-rectification period. Teacher says,
"So in clarifying the truth, don't wait, don't rely on others, and don't just hope for changes in external factors."
"As long as something is good for Dafa, you should take the initiative to do it, take the initiative to work on it."
[To All Students at the Nordic Fa Conference, 2001]
As long as we do well what we should do, everything is harmonized. As fellow practitioners, our hearts are connected. In the end, let's encourage each other with Teacher's scripture in Hong Yin:
The Difficult Path to Godhood
Predestined relationships spanning endless lifetimes
Each connected by the thread of Dafa
Through hardships the body of gold is tempered
Why such slow and leisurely steps?
