(Falun Dafa Information Center) NEW YORK--While a strong police presence has somewhat deterred pro-communist mobs in New York City, they are continuing to harass Falun Gong adherents when law enforcement agents are absent, the Falun Dafa Information Center reported on Monday.

(Clearwisdom.net) On May 31, David Matas, a famous Canadian human rights lawyer, said during an interview with NTDTV that the Chinese consulate in New York, in particular the Chinese consul, Peng Keyu, orchestrated the harassment against Falun Gong in Flushing, and that it is inappropriate behavior for a consul. Mr. Matas suggested the American government expel Peng, since it would send a powerful message and "would have a deterrent effect more generally."

(Clearwisdom.net) Frantic crowds, whipped into an emotional frenzy by instigators hired by New York Chinese Consulate officials, have harassed, intimidated, and even violently attacked Falun Gong practitioners on the streets of Flushing, New York since May 17, 2008. Flushing is a primarily Chinese suburb of New York City, located in the borough of Queens. Local Chinese people who understand what is going on have begun to express their resentment over the ruthless and violent behavior.
