(Clearwisdom.net) During the sessions of the Two Congresses, officials from the Mudanjiang City Political and Legal Commission and the local 610 Office ordered police officers from the city Domestic Security Brigade and police station to arrest Falun Gong practitioners. On March 1, 2010, six practitioners were arrested.
Police Officers Break into Ms. Zhang Ping's Mother's House and Arrest Ms. Zhang
An officer from the Xiangyang Police Station broke into Ms. Zhang Ping's mother's house on March 1, 2010. The officer confiscated her personal belongings and arrested Ms. Zhang, who was there helping her mother clean.
Ms. Zhang lived in Qingfu Community, Dong'an District, of Mudanjiang. On October 1, 2000, Ms. Zhang went to Tiananmen Square to appeal for Falun Dafa. Officers from the Tiananmen Square Police Station arrested her and locked her in the basement of the Mudanjiang Office in Beijing. On October 4, officers from the Yangming Police Station took her back to Mudanjiang and put her in the Mudanjiang Detention Center, where she was held for four months. Li Changqing, director of the Mudanjiang 610 Office, confiscated 12,900 yuan that Ms. Zhang had with her, and did not issue a receipt. Ms. Zhang began to feel faint and was released after paying a 2,000 fine and 5,000 deposit, which was never refunded. While Ms. Zhang was locked in the center, Li extorted tens of thousands of yuan from her family members.
On August 19, 2001, officers from the Mudanjiang Public Safety Bureau and Xi'an Police Station arrested Ms. Zhang and locked her in the Mudanjiang Detention Center for 24 days. Officers from the Xi'an Police Station took the 1,050 yuan she had with her.
On September 23, 2005, officers from the Mudanjiang Public Safety Bureau and Dong'an Police Station arrested her while she was doing the Falun Gong exercises at home. The officers raided her house, breaking down the door and the windows of her house to force their way in. They arrested Ms. Zhang, dragged her down the stairs from the third floor and threw her into a police car. Ms. Zhang had a heart attack due to the sudden assault, and she was taken to the Mudanjiang Police Hospital. While she was hospitalized, Li Fu, head of the Mudanjiang Domestic Security Brigade, extorted 30,000 yuan from her family. Ms. Zhang was then put in a forced labor camp for three years. During her imprisonment, she had to pay a prison fee of 9,000 yuan, for which she never received any receipt or legal document.
Ms. Zhou Zhirong Arrested
On March 1, Ms. Zhou Zhirong from Muling, Mudanjiang was arrested at work. Ms. Zhou's husband is also currently imprisoned.
Since Sun Xubin became the director of the Muling City Public Safety Bureau in 2006, in less than six months, the Bureau has arrested thirty Falun Gong practitioners and became one of the busiest units in the country's police system. Sun has actively participated in the persecution of Falun Gong and continued extorting money from them.
Ms. Liu Xianghua Arrested Again
On the morning of March 1, Ms. Liu Xianghua from Mudanjiang was arrested.
On February 12, 2006, officers from Mudanjiang Domestic Security Brigade and Ning'an City Political Security Brigade surrounded and then raided Ms. Liu Yajuan's house. The officers arrested Ms. Liu Yjuan and Ms. Liu Xianghua. They also took cash and bank books from the house.
Practitioners arrested on March 1 include Mr. Zhang Jiliang, Ms. Sun Yingxia, and Ms. Zhuang Xiuhua.
Several Practitioners Harassed
On the morning of March 1, police officers went to Xiaoping's house in Yangming District and confiscated Xiaoping's computer.
Sometime around January 8, 2010, officers broke into Ms. Li Cuilan's house in Donghailin, Qiaobei, Mudanjiang, and searched her house. Ms. Li escaped the arrest and has since been homeless.
In December 2009, police officers went to harass Ms. Xiaofang, who lived in Yangming District. Ms. Xiaofang's mother suffered a heart attack as a result.
